Zenless Zone Zero Spooky Funhouse Tales runs from 22 October at 10:00 to 30 November at 03:59 server time. Reach Inter-Knot Level 20, complete Main Story Chapter 1 – Intermission and visit Patsy at the HIA Club to enter the Trickmobile VR challenges.

Complete every Mission Mode stage to earn a limited Angels of Delusion outfit through Angels Support Operation. The event also has the A-Rank Candlelit Scheme W-Engine, two Proxy accessories, Polychromes and other useful materials. Challenge Mode offers Fright-score attempts after Mission Mode.

How to start Zenless Zone Zero Spooky Funhouse Tales

Once the event begins, open the Event menu, make sure your Inter-Knot Level is at least 20 and that you’ve finished Chapter 1 – Intermission. Then head to the HIA Club and speak to Patsy. That’s how you enter the VR funhouse; there’s no need to complete the new Version 3.3 story chapter first.

The October 22 start is given in server time. A player on another regional server may see a different local clock time, so follow the countdown displayed in-game. The end date is November 30 at 03:59 server time. The main activity is separate from the Enigma of the Labyrinth Spooky Trial content that also arrives in Version 3.3.

Zenless Zone Zero Spooky Funhouse Tales: Mission Mode and Trickmobiles

In Mission Mode, build a scare plan and direct the Trickmobile through the funhouse so it frightens the enemies ahead. Each stage is about the order of your actions and route rather than normal Agent combat.

Three themed sets of Mission Mode stages unlock in sequence. Clear the available stages and return when the next theme opens. The outfit needs all Mission Mode stages, so finishing only the first theme will not complete its requirement.

Challenge Mode and Fright scores

Challenge Mode unlocks after you have completed the corresponding Mission Mode stages. This is the higher-score side of Zenless Zone Zero Spooky Funhouse Tales: the objective changes from completing a scare plan to achieving the highest Fright score possible. Finishing the route is therefore only the starting point if you’re trying to improve your score.

Challenge Mode is the repeatable scoring challenge: try a different scare plan, compare your Fright score and see whether your route can be improved. You don’t need a particular Fright-score threshold for the Angels of Delusion outfit; its announced requirement is completing all Mission Mode stages.

How to get the Angels of Delusion outfit

To unlock the Angels of Delusion costume, finish all Mission Mode stages. Then claim the prize through Angels Support Operation. It’s not a login gift and doesn’t require a particular Fright score in Challenge Mode.

Open the Angels Support Operation reward screen after completing the final Mission Mode stage. The separate Angels of Delusion outfit guide explains the costume choices and earlier selections.

Candlelit Scheme W-Engine and other rewards

Playing the event’s commissions and stages earns the exclusive A-Rank Candlelit Scheme W-Engine, which HoYoverse identifies as an Armorer W-Engine. The announcement also names the Prankster and Mischievous Proxy accessories, a Hamster Cage Pass, Polychromes and upgrade materials among the event prizes.

Check the reward screen after clearing commissions and stages. Candlelit Scheme, the Prankster and Mischievous accessories, Hamster Cage Pass, Polychromes and upgrade materials are confirmed prizes. The Candlelit Scheme guide covers the W-Engine.

When does Spooky Funhouse Tales end?

Zenless Zone Zero Spooky Funhouse Tales closes on 30 November at 03:59 server time. Finish Mission Mode and claim the outfit before then. This deadline is different from the paid Phoenix and Severian outfits’ sale window.

For the rest of the update, see our Version 3.3 event calendar and Spooky Trial guide. Spooky Trial’s candles and recycling are a separate Enigma of the Labyrinth activity.

If you’re also working through the Version 3.3 seasonal activities, our Spooky Trial candle and recycling guide explains the separate Enigma of the Labyrinth event. The Phoenix and Severian outfit price guide covers paid cosmetics rather than the funhouse’s free reward track.
