ESO 1,000 Writ Vouchers have been granted to players affected by the Master Crafting Station bug introduced with Update 51. ZeniMax Online Studios confirmed on 19 October 2026 that the remaining repairs were completed across all servers and that eligible accounts had received the voucher compensation.
This isn’t a giveaway for every ESO player or a new Master Writ event. The vouchers compensate players whose Grand Master Crafting Stations stopped recognising previously collected item sets. If you found crafting sets locked at a fully stocked station, here’s what ZeniMax repaired, who qualified and what the vouchers can be spent on.
Who qualifies for ESO 1,000 Writ Vouchers?
The ESO 1,000 Writ Vouchers payment is for players who were affected by the Master Crafting Station issue. According to the developer’s support announcement, all affected accounts across its servers have now had their stations repaired and received 1,000 Writ Vouchers.
That means you don’t qualify merely by owning a crafting station, playing after the October patch or completing ordinary daily crafting writs. ZeniMax identified affected players through the fault it was repairing and issued the compensation to that group.
The compensation has already been granted. The developer’s announcement does not describe a redemption code, registration form, support-ticket requirement or limited-time claim button.
Why ZeniMax granted ESO 1,000 Writ Vouchers
Players reported that fully upgraded Grand Master Crafting Stations were suddenly showing many unlocked sets as locked. In one official forum report, a player said a station that had collected 83 sets was only recognising 48. That prevented crafting gear sets the owner had previously collected and expected to use.
The issue surfaced after Update 51 and was especially disruptive for dedicated crafters who had spent a long time collecting and adding attunable sets to their stations. It did not mean the player intentionally removed those sets or needed to acquire them all again.
ZeniMax deployed a hotfix on 28 September 2026 to prevent additional players from becoming affected. However, that initial hotfix did not restore every station that was already broken, so the studio still needed to repair the accounts caught by the earlier problem.

When did the ESO 1,000 Writ Vouchers compensation arrive?
The remaining repair was performed during incremental maintenance on 19 October 2026. ZeniMax community representative Jessica Folsom confirmed the final fix and compensation in the official ESO forums that evening.
| Date | What happened |
|---|---|
| 28 September 2026 | Hotfix deployed to stop further Master Crafting Station accounts being affected |
| 19 October 2026 | Remaining affected stations repaired during incremental maintenance |
| 19 October 2026 | 1,000 Writ Vouchers granted to affected accounts across servers |
The vouchers compensate affected players for the disruption to their crafting stations. They aren’t a repeatable reward from Update 51.
What should you check if your crafting station still shows locked sets?
If you were affected, revisit your Grand Master Crafting Station and inspect the collection of available sets. The final repair was intended to restore the station’s recognition of your previously collected sets, so sets that were unexpectedly locked should now be craftable again.
If your station still displays missing sets after the October 19 maintenance, check that you’re using the affected station and that the game has downloaded the relevant patch. If the problem persists, report the missing sets and server details through The Elder Scrolls Online support rather than purchasing attunable stations again.
You can also look for the Writ Voucher balance on the character or account where you use the crafting system. The official compensation notice confirms the grant, but doesn’t specify a separate item to collect from the mail or a guaranteed on-screen popup.

Writ Vouchers can be saved for later purchases, so there is no need to spend the compensation immediately.
What can you buy with 1,000 Writ Vouchers?
Writ Vouchers are the currency earned from completing Master Writ contracts. You can spend them with Master Writ merchants, including Rolis Hlaalu and Faustina Curio, on crafting-related rewards such as furnishing plans, crafting stations and other special items.
For a player who works on their home crafting hall, ESO 1,000 Writ Vouchers is a significant amount towards furnishings or station progression. You can also save them until you know which furnishing recipes or crafting purchases are most useful to you.
To learn how the currency normally works, see our ESO Master Writs and Writ Vouchers guide. Our daily crafting certification guide explains ordinary writs, which are a different activity from this compensation grant.
The compensation was issued automatically to affected accounts. You don’t need to complete another Master Writ to claim it.
Does everybody get ESO 1,000 Writ Vouchers?
No. The ESO 1,000 Writ Vouchers compensation was specifically for players whose Master Crafting Stations were affected by the Update 51 issue. If you never lost access to collected sets, the official announcement does not promise a bonus of 1,000 vouchers for your account.
Players looking to earn their own vouchers can still complete Master Writs. Our trait research guide helps with crafting requirements, while the crafting motifs guide explains how to learn required styles.
The compensation and final fix were confirmed in ZeniMax Online Studios’ official Master Crafting Stations forum thread.
