Diablo Immortal Legacy Loyalty Points: Inferno XV Reset and Essence Costs

Diablo Immortal Enigma Latera Guide

Diablo Immortal Legacy Loyalty Points are the currency your existing Loyalty Points become when Inferno XV arrives. Blizzard’s October 2026 patch notes confirm that the new difficulty resets the current Loyalty Point balance and converts the old points, rather than deleting them.

These two currencies now have different jobs. Legacy points buy uncollected Legendary Essences from older difficulties, while fresh Loyalty Points unlock Inferno XV Essences. Blizzard has also published the actual purchase costs and how to earn each type, so here’s how the system works and where to spend your points.

What happens to your Loyalty Points in Inferno XV?

With the Inferno XV update, existing Loyalty Points are automatically converted into Legacy Loyalty Points. The current Loyalty Point counter starts again for the newly released Inferno XV Legendary Essences.

There’s no manual claim or exchange step required for the reset. Your points move into the legacy balance, where they remain useful for older Essences you haven’t collected. Blizzard has already used this mechanic during previous difficulty increases.

The important thing to check after the patch is the two separate point counters in the Essence Transfer interface, not just the current balance.

Diablo Immortal Legacy Loyalty Points versus current points

CurrencyHow to earn itWhat it purchases
Legacy Loyalty PointsExtract Legendary Equipment from an older difficulty, or receive converted points at a difficulty rolloverUncollected Legendary Essences from older difficulties
Current Loyalty PointsExtract eligible Legendary Equipment obtained in Inferno XV or higher, after the difficulty becomes availableUncollected new Inferno XV Legendary Essences

Older equipment does not suddenly become Inferno XV equipment just because you extract it after the update. The difficulty at which that gear was obtained determines whether the extraction earns new points or Diablo Immortal Legacy Loyalty Points.

If your fresh current Loyalty balance is zero after several extractions, check whether you’ve been extracting pre-update Legendary items.

What do 200, 400 and 600 Loyalty Points buy?

Blizzard’s revised Loyalty Bonus rules provide exact costs. The first newly released Essence for a class starts at 200 current Loyalty Points, increasing by 100 for each additional new Essence purchased in that class. Old Essences have fixed costs instead.

Essence categoryRequired currencyPrice
First new Inferno XV Essence for a classCurrent Loyalty Points200
Additional new Essences for that classCurrent Loyalty Points200 + 100 for each previous purchase in that class
Essence from the immediately preceding difficultyLegacy Loyalty Points600
Essence from at least two difficulty generations earlierLegacy Loyalty Points400

For the Inferno XV rollover, the newly retired Inferno XIV Essences become the previous-difficulty set priced at 600 legacy points. Older groups already two or more difficulty tiers behind cost 400. Each class has its own rising current-Essence cost.

How to spend Diablo Immortal Legacy Loyalty Points

Open Essence Transfer at the NPC in Westmarch. The Loyalty Bonus button is at the lower-left of the Extract area, with class selection nearby.

  1. Visit the Essence Transfer NPC and open its menu.
  2. Select the Extract interface, then choose Loyalty Bonus.
  3. Pick the class whose uncollected Essence you want from the class selector.
  4. Find an older Legendary Essence and check whether it costs 400 or 600 Legacy Loyalty Points.
  5. Choose the Essence and confirm the unlock if your balance is enough.

You can choose Essences for another class from this interface, according to Blizzard’s system update. That gives players who change classes a way to collect older powers without immediately repeating every drop hunt.

How to earn Loyalty Points after the Diablo Immortal Legacy Loyalty Points reset

To acquire Inferno XV Essences, unlock the difficulty and extract Legendary Equipment obtained at the new difficulty or higher. Once Inferno XV is supported by the server and available to your character, this is the gear that contributes to the active Loyalty balance.

Equipment found in an older difficulty contributes Diablo Immortal Legacy Loyalty Points instead. An extractions session made entirely from old equipment won’t advance your new Inferno XV Loyalty total.

Blizzard has removed the old weekly extraction cap for this system, and certain extractions can award 5, 25 or even 400 bonus points. Those larger payouts are chance-based, not guaranteed on every item.

Can you convert current Loyalty Points to Legacy?

Yes. Blizzard allows an automatic conversion from current Loyalty Points into Diablo Immortal Legacy Loyalty Points when you attempt to unlock an older Essence. That can cover a shortfall if you need a specific older power but have more new points than legacy ones.

The reverse exchange is not supported in Blizzard’s published rules. You cannot turn your saved old Legacy points back into current Inferno XV Loyalty Points. If your goal is a newly released Essence, you’ll have to earn eligible current-tier points.

Think carefully before using fresh current Loyalty Points for an older Essence, since those points can no longer fund a new Inferno XV unlock once converted.

Diablo Immortal Legacy Loyalty Points and an empty current counter

After the update, that is often expected. Your pre-update balance is in Diablo Immortal Legacy Loyalty Points, while the regular counter begins at zero for Inferno XV. Open Loyalty Bonus to compare the two amounts and confirm the class and difficulty of the Essence you want.

If an extraction is adding to Legacy instead of the fresh balance, check the difficulty at which that Legendary Equipment was obtained. Only eligible equipment from the new difficulty contributes current points.

The Inferno XV reset is documented in Blizzard’s October 2026 update notes, and the 200/400/600-point purchase rules come from Blizzard’s Essence Loyalty Bonus explanation.
