Yandere Simulator Kizana Release Date: Latest Progress and What Comes After Amai

Yandere Simulator release date

Yandere Simulator Kizana release date has not been announced as of October 18, 2026. Kizana Sunobu is the third planned rival in Ayano’s 202X Mode, following Osana Najimi and Amai Odayaka, but her playable week is not available in the current build. The developer is still adjusting Amai’s week before concentrating on the next rival.

October has brought some movement: Schemes became available during Amai’s week on October 1, student placement changed on October 15 and further witness-balancing work was announced on October 17. These are changes players can actually see or expect in the next build. They are not evidence of a surprise Kizana launch.

Has a Yandere Simulator Kizana release date been confirmed?

No. The developer hasn’t given Kizana a day, month or confirmed release window. If you see a countdown or a 2026 promise being shared, it isn’t grounded in the most recent official roadmap. The Yandere Simulator Kizana release date depends on the developer finishing a set of remaining priorities and then starting the work on Kizana’s playable week.

The Pre-Kizana Checklist, linked in the October 1 update, tracks work planned before Kizana becomes the main focus. It is not a live countdown to a fixed release day. The October 17 post adds another substantial job, reworking Amai’s student routines to make witnesses behave more naturally without leaving easy gaps.

What is happening with Amai before Kizana?

Amai became the second playable 202X rival in May 2024. Since then, the developer has reworked much of her dialogue and events and added voices and animations. The October 1 Schemes refactor finally brought in-game scheme instructions to her week, while the October 15 build changed where students stand to make her harder to eliminate unseen.

On October 17, YandereDev acknowledged negative feedback about that arrangement and outlined a different approach: more students talking in pairs or groups, plus routines that change by day and follow the rival’s location. The Yandere Simulator Kizana release date isn’t directly linked to a single bug fix, but the planned redesign means Amai is still receiving attention.

What happens before the Yandere Simulator Kizana release date?

In the January 7 development plan, YandereDev discussed completing as many improvements to Amai and Custom Mode as possible, finishing Amai voice work, returning to YouTube to showcase work since 1980s Mode, and only then moving ahead with future rivals. On October 1 he repeated the broad order: student placement, possible Custom Mode improvements, videos and then Kizana.

There’s no basis for calculating the Yandere Simulator Kizana release date from the number of Trello cards alone. Art, dialogue, testing and animation workloads change throughout development. The developer said on October 17 that a better student-placement system could delay the return to YouTube, which is another step before Kizana work takes priority.

Has Kizana’s voice actress been chosen?

The June 1 update introduced trial dialogue for a scene in which Senpai meets Kizana. A voice actress auditioned for the character, and the developer worked with her on the delivery. However, he explicitly stopped short of formally confirming that she would be Kizana’s permanent actress, saying the included lines might remain placeholders depending on feedback.

That scene shows work on Kizana-related material, but it doesn’t establish the Yandere Simulator Kizana release date or a finished character week. A voice appearance in an existing cutscene is much smaller in scope than the schedule, elimination events and supporting gameplay required for an entire rival.

Could Kizana launch as a beta rival?

Yes, but this is still a proposed development method. In January, YandereDev described releasing future rival weeks with generic animations or without final voice acting, collecting feedback, then refining the material before spending more resources on bespoke presentation. The developer also discussed possible warning screens and a large watermark to explain that unfinished content was being tested.

The Yandere Simulator Kizana release date could therefore eventually describe a beta week rather than a fully voiced and animated chapter. No date or final delivery format has been promised. Our beta rivals guide explains the idea and why it should not be confused with paid Early Access.

Does a Kizana release mean the full game is finished?

No. Kizana is the third rival in a ten-rival 202X story. Seven more would still follow her even if her week launched tomorrow. The separate 1980s Mode offers a completed ten-rival campaign, but it isn’t the conclusion of Ayano’s story. The Yandere Simulator Kizana release date is a distinct milestone from the game’s eventual full release.
