Overwatch Lucio Mythic Weapon: Treblemaker Levels and Effects

overwatch season 5 official

Lucio Mythic weapon is a more specific decision than simply asking which new cosmetic headlines Season 5. Treblemaker changes something Lucio players see and hear constantly in first-person play, and Blizzard has split those changes across four Mythic levels. That makes the upgrade path worth understanding before spending Prisms, especially in a season that also introduces a new Wuyang Mythic Hero skin.

Treblemaker is also unusually characterful even by Mythic weapon standards. Its identity is built around audio, reactive presentation and a tiny frog living inside the weapon rather than a simple model swap. Players who only want the base appearance may value the early level differently from somebody chasing the flourish, reload animation and fully developed reactive interface at the top of the path.

Lucio Mythic weapon Treblemaker has four confirmed levels. Level 1 unlocks the base Mythic look and special audio for healing and firing. Level 2 adds custom elimination effects built around rotating graffiti-style frog poses. Level 3 expands the custom reactive interface as you score final blows, and Level 4 adds the full music-inspired flourish and reload experience with the dancing frog taking centre stage.

LevelConfirmed Treblemaker upgrade
1Base Mythic appearance plus special healing and firing audio.
2Custom elimination effects with rotating graffiti-style frog poses.
3Reactive UI that becomes more elaborate with final blows.
4Music-inspired flourish and reload experience featuring the dancing frog.

What Level 1 changes

The base Lucio Mythic weapon is not just a recoloured Sonic Amplifier. Blizzard specifically calls out audio effects for both healing and firing at Level 1, so the cosmetic starts changing the moment-to-moment presentation before the later elimination and interface effects are unlocked. That matters on Lucio because sound is already central to the Hero’s identity.

If the base weapon model and audio are the parts you care about most, Level 1 is the point to evaluate first. The later Lucio Mythic weapon levels add extra presentation features, so their value depends on which effects you actually want. Preview the stages in the Mythic Shop before deciding how far to upgrade Treblemaker.

Level 2 custom elimination effects

At Level 2, the Lucio Mythic weapon turns eliminations into a more visible part of the theme. Blizzard describes custom kill effects that rotate through graffiti-style frog poses. This is the first upgrade that pushes Treblemaker beyond its sound design and into a stronger on-screen celebration of successful fights.

Lucio players who enjoy aggressive play may notice this upgrade more often than players who mostly value movement and team utility. The effect is cosmetic and does not alter damage, healing or elimination rules, but it gives the weapon a much more obvious personality during normal matches.

Level 3 reactive UI

Level 3 develops the Lucio Mythic weapon through a custom reactive interface that becomes more elaborate as you earn final blows. This is different from a static HUD treatment because the presentation builds with your performance during a match. Blizzard has framed it as part of the weapon’s portable party concept rather than a separate gameplay meter.

That distinction is important. The Lucio Mythic weapon reactive UI is cosmetic feedback, not a new resource or buff that changes Lucio’s kit. Players should judge the upgrade on how much they enjoy reactive visual feedback rather than expecting a competitive advantage.

Level 4 flourish, reload and dancing frog

The final Lucio Mythic weapon level completes Treblemaker with the music-inspired flourish and reload presentation. The tiny frog inside the weapon becomes the star of the animation, moving to the beat as part of Blizzard’s deliberately playful design. This is the level for players who want the full set of presentation features rather than only the model and sound changes.

Because the flourish and reload are actions you can see directly from first person, Level 4 has a different kind of value from a Hero skin that is most visible in menus, emotes or third-person moments. Lucio mains who care about what they see while actively playing may find that distinction meaningful when comparing Season 5 Mythics.

Treblemaker versus Dragon Shaoxia Wuyang

The Lucio Mythic weapon shares Season 5 attention with Dragon Shaoxia Wuyang. Both can be unlocked through the Mythic system, and the Season 5 Battle Pass offers up to 80 Mythic Prisms. Those Prisms are flexible currency, so earning them does not automatically assign them to Treblemaker or Wuyang.

The comparison is therefore personal rather than numerical. Choose the Lucio Mythic weapon if you play Lucio regularly and value first-person weapon effects, sound and reactive UI. Dragon Shaoxia makes more sense if Wuyang is the Hero you use and you prefer a full character transformation with multiple appearance options and ability effects.

How to decide how far to upgrade

Start by previewing every Lucio Mythic weapon level in the live Mythic Shop. If the base audio and model already give you what you want, there is no reason to treat the later effects as mandatory. If the dancing frog, flourish and reactive UI are the features that sold you on Treblemaker, plan for the complete upgrade path rather than spending Prisms elsewhere first.

Treblemaker is one of the clearest examples of why Mythic upgrades should be judged feature by feature. The Lucio Mythic weapon gets more expressive at each stage, but none of those cosmetic additions changes Lucio’s actual balance. Spend for the presentation you will enjoy in normal play, not because Season 5 happens to feature it.
