The Wolf Among Us Remastered is a separate digital release rather than a free patch to the 2013 original. The October 29 schedule is confirmed by Telltale’s launch announcement, which names the Nintendo versions as later releases.
Is The Wolf Among Us Remastered on PC?
Yes. Steam and the Epic Games Store both launched on October 29. The PC version includes the complete story, Noir Mode and the new bonus content. Steam also lists full controller support and cloud saves.
The minimum PC specification is Windows 10, 8GB RAM, an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 or AMD Phenom II X4 910 and a GTX 470 or Radeon HD 5870. The recommended specification is Windows 11 with an Intel i3-8100 or Ryzen 3 2300X and a GTX 1050 Ti or RX 6400. Our full PC requirements guide explains the 1080p performance targets.
Which PlayStation and Xbox Consoles Are Supported?
PlayStation 5 is the available PlayStation edition. Telltale has not announced a remaster release for PS4. On Xbox, the publisher sells an Xbox One version that runs on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. A separate native Series release is not part of the launch.
You do not need a Game Pass subscription to purchase the Xbox release. If you already own the original digitally on Xbox One, the same Xbox account qualifies for Telltale’s 50% launch owner discount until November 12.
Is The Wolf Among Us Remastered on Switch?
Not yet. Both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions of The Wolf Among Us Remastered were delayed from the October 29 launch. Telltale announced the Switch delay on October 16 and said on October 29 that the Nintendo versions would follow later. There is no new Nintendo launch month or date.
Telltale says it is taking additional development time to deliver the Nintendo experience it wants. It has not attributed the delay to particular hardware, certification or performance problems. Nintendo pricing and owner discounts will be announced nearer the eventual release.
What Is New in the Remaster?
The Wolf Among Us Remastered refreshes Bigby’s original five-episode investigation rather than replacing its story. It features better character models, environments, lighting, animation and audio. Noir Mode switches the story into black and white without changing the underlying dialogue and decisions.
All five episodes are included: Faith, Smoke and Mirrors, A Crooked Mile, In Sheep’s Clothing and Cry Wolf. The added archive includes five fully playable deleted scenes, more than 100 pieces of artwork and over an hour of developer interviews. Playing while signed in to a Telltale Account also allows defining remaster choices to carry into The Wolf Among Us 2.
How Much Does the Remaster Cost and Who Gets a Discount?
The Wolf Among Us Remastered standard US digital price is $24.99. New buyers can save 20% on Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox through November 12. PS5 buyers need PlayStation Plus for the 20% new-player offer.
Eligible digital owners of the original receive 50% off on Steam, Epic and Xbox. On PS5, original PS4 digital owners get 50% off with Plus or 30% without it. You must use the same store and account; physical originals do not qualify. Telltale has acknowledged that some eligible owners are seeing the wrong price and directs them to its support team.
When Are Physical Editions Coming?
PM Studios is working on physical editions planned for Q1 2027, meaning January to March. The publisher has not given a specific retail release date, final platform list or UK price for those editions.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered is available now on the released digital platforms. Nintendo players should use Telltale’s official announcements for the replacement Switch dates, while digital buyers can check the current store-specific launch discount before November 12.
