Fortnite Nightmare Neighborhood Battlewoods is the Fortnitemares transformation that replaced the old Battlewoods footprint with the new Nightmare Neighborhood POI. The location sits north of Green Hill Zone and is now home to Freddy Krueger, Elm Street scenery and one of the most contested unique-weapon fights on the island.
This is a gameplay destination rather than a simple reskin. Players can hunt Freddy’s Nightmare, fight through dense housing and use the area as a close-range seasonal landing route.

Nightmare Neighborhood occupies the former Battlewoods area, directly north of Green Hill Zone. If you remember the old POI, use the same footprint as your fastest reference.
Elm Street is represented inside the residential horror zone rather than as a separate giant named POI elsewhere on the island.
Where is Freddy Krueger?
Freddy Krueger is the boss attached to this POI. Epic says he can hide behind a friendly face, then vanish and reappear close enough to strike.
Secure gear first and watch the houses rather than assuming Freddy will stand in one fixed room every match.

Defeating Freddy gives Freddy’s Nightmare, the Legendary melee item that helps its user close distance before slashing.
That makes the POI one of the clearest unique-loot destinations in standard Battle Royale during Fortnitemares.
Best landing strategy
If several squads are diving into the area, land on the edge, take a gun and shields, then work inward. Dropping directly on the boss with no weapon leaves you exposed to both Freddy and third parties.
The housing creates ambush angles, so use audio and information tools before entering occupied buildings.
Best weapons here
Bonerattler SMG is excellent because it reveals nearby movement through walls. A shotgun handles the interior follow-up, while Freddy’s Nightmare becomes a finisher after the boss is defeated.
The worst plan is opening every doorway with no information. Make the cover work for you rather than for whoever is camping inside.
Nightmare Neighborhood versus Freaky Fields
Nightmare Neighborhood replaces Battlewoods and focuses on tight houses plus Freddy Krueger. Freaky Fields replaces Latte Landing and is much more open.
Choose this POI for the boss and unique reward. Choose Freaky Fields when you want longer sightlines and a different rotation style.
