Fortnite Freaky Fields is the other major named-location replacement in Fortnitemares 2026, taking over the former Latte Landing area with a much more exposed Halloween farm. Epic names Freaky Fields alongside Nightmare Neighborhood as one of the event destinations.
The biggest gameplay change is cover. Latte Landing offered shops and houses to rotate between, while the new farm layout creates longer sightlines and punishes careless movement.
Fortnite Freaky Fields location
Freaky Fields occupies the former Latte Landing location. If Latte Landing was part of your normal Chapter 7 Season 4 route, head to the same region and use the new live map label.
You are looking for the Halloween farm rather than the older café-town structures.
What happened to Latte Landing?
Latte Landing has been replaced for the Fortnitemares island state. The old building layout is no longer the route you should plan around.
Older loot guides may still send you to the correct region while describing houses and cover that no longer exist.
Why Freaky Fields plays differently
The open design makes rifles and mid-range accuracy more important. Crossing exposed farmland without mobility is riskier than moving through the old town.
Rotate early when the Storm is closing so you are not forced into one long exposed sprint through the centre.
Best weapons for Freaky Fields
Accurate rifles and other mid-range options are comfortable because enemies are easier to see at distance. Keep a shotgun for barns, small structures and sudden close fights.
Bonerattler SMG still has value around cover, but its wall-reveal advantage is less dominant here than inside Nightmare Neighborhood.
Is Freddy Krueger at Freaky Fields?
No. Epic mentions both POIs in the event overview, but Freddy is tied to Nightmare Neighborhood rather than this farm.
Go north to Nightmare Neighborhood when your goal is Freddy’s Nightmare. This is a separate landing route.
Best way to land
Prioritise a ranged weapon, shields and mobility before crossing the centre. Landing slightly outside the busiest cluster can be safer than committing to an exposed hot drop with no cover.
Once equipped, use the long sightlines to watch rotations rather than chasing every opponent into the middle.
Live Fortnitemares context
The October event remains active through November 1, so this page is built around the current live behavior rather than prerelease placeholders. Epic can still adjust loot or balance during the month.
For Fortnite Freaky Fields, always use the playlist named in the guide because Battle Royale, Blitz and competitive modes do not share every seasonal source or rule;

How to rotate through the open ground
Fortnite Freaky Fields punishes late rotations because the new farm layout has fewer hard structures than Latte Landing. Move from cover cluster to cover cluster and avoid crossing the broadest fields after nearby players already have rifles.
Fortnite Freaky Fields is also a better place to carry mobility than a third close-range weapon. One escape or reposition tool can matter more than extra damage when the next safe area is across exposed terrain.
