The Sims 4 New Child CAS Items are available now through Patch 1.128, with six new child clothing pieces, five child hairstyles in total and additional toddler CAS content included in the free base-game update.
The Sims 4 New Child CAS Items can be found in Create a Sim after installing the September 22 update. The live patch notes confirm the exact clothing and hair additions, so there is no need to rely on teaser screenshots anymore.

The Sims 4 New Child CAS Items are part of the wider free content EA has been rolling into base-game updates. September’s drop is specifically described around children, with CAS content arriving alongside new Build/Buy objects.
The Sims 4 New Child CAS Items full list
The Sims 4 New Child CAS Items include six new clothing pieces for children: a Sweatshirt, Polo Shirt, Khaki Shorts, Sequin Top, Ruffled Blouse and Jeans with Lace Detail.
Hair gets a substantial boost too. Patch 1.128 adds one new Ponytail with Bangs for children and converts four existing adult hairstyles for child Sims: Messy Bangs, Afro Part, Long Braids and Ombre Long Braids.
Toddler CAS items in the same free update
The September 22 drop also adds three toddler CAS items: a T-shirt, Colorful Glasses and a Denim Dress. They are part of the same free base-game update even though they sit outside the child age category targeted by the main The Sims 4 New Child CAS Items search.
How to find the new CAS items
Install Patch 1.128, open Create a Sim and choose a child or toddler. If the new pieces do not appear, clear restrictive CAS filters first. Players using column, filter or UI mods should verify the vanilla CAS catalogue before reporting an item as missing.
Are the child CAS items free?
Yes, The Sims 4 New Child CAS Items are part of a free base-game content rollout rather than a paid pack announcement. The current game update will still be required to receive them.
This is separate from Marketplace Maker Packs, which can include their own free or paid content and use a different distribution system.
What this guide will add on patch day
The Sims 4 New Child CAS Items guide should be refreshed with the full item list, categories, swatch counts and any notable style details once the September 22 update is live. That keeps the page useful without inventing names from screenshots before EA exposes the actual catalogue.
How to verify the change after the update
Once the patch is installed, test The Sims 4 New Child CAS Items in a backed-up or disposable save before changing several settings at once. Start without mods where possible, reproduce the exact behaviour the guide describes, and then restore compatible files gradually. This gives you a clean comparison between the official September 22 patch and anything being added by custom content or script mods.
If the result differs from the live Patch 1.128 behaviour, record the platform, game version and exact steps that reproduce it. Then repeat the test with mods removed so an outdated script or UI mod is not mistaken for a remaining base-game bug.
The September 22 update is now live as Patch 1.128. EA previewed the changes in its official September 15 Laundry List, and the live patch confirms the fix is included. If the same symptom continues, test an unmodded save before treating it as a failed base-game fix.
The Sims 4 New Child CAS Items expand the free base game
The Sims 4 New Child CAS Items are a welcome part of September 22 because they give the update something tangible to explore alongside its fixes. The confirmed pre-launch story is simple: child-focused CAS content is coming for free, and the complete searchable list belongs here as soon as the live game reveals it.
