WARDOGS System Requirements are reasonably approachable for a 100-player shooter, but the official targets already assume that upscaling may be doing some of the work. Large Control Zone fights can also be much heavier than standing alone at base, so the store numbers should be treated as performance targets rather than guarantees.
BULKHEAD lists 16GB RAM and 50GB available storage at both tiers. WARDOGS System Requirements start with an Intel Core i5-8600 or Ryzen 5 3500 plus GTX 1660 or RX 590, while the recommended tier moves to an i7-12700K or Ryzen 7 5700X with RTX 3070 or RX 6700 XT.

WARDOGS System Requirements: minimum PC specs
The minimum CPU is Intel Core i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500, paired with 16GB RAM and either an Nvidia GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 590.
Windows 10, broadband internet and 50GB available storage are also listed. WARDOGS System Requirements do not currently name an SSD as mandatory in the visible Steam table.
What the minimum target is designed to deliver
Steam describes the minimum target as 1080p Low at 60 FPS using upscaling. That matters because somebody expecting native 1080p performance from the minimum GPU is asking for more than the published target promises.
WARDOGS System Requirements therefore include image reconstruction as part of the expected low-end setup rather than treating DLSS or FSR as an emergency option.
Recommended WARDOGS System Requirements
The recommended CPU is Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, again with 16GB RAM. GPU guidance rises to Nvidia RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT.
Windows 11, broadband internet and 50GB storage remain listed. These WARDOGS System Requirements are aimed at a noticeably higher resolution target rather than simply turning Low settings into High.
What the recommended target means
BULKHEAD describes roughly 1440p Medium at 70 FPS or better natively, or 4K Medium at 60 FPS or better with upscaling.
Those figures are useful reference points, but WARDOGS System Requirements cannot account for every driver version, background application or unusually chaotic 100-player fight.
CPU load matters in busy matches
A large multiplayer battle can become CPU-heavy when dozens of players, vehicles, destruction and networked objects are active at once. A machine can therefore look comfortable in a quiet area and struggle badly around the main objective.
When checking WARDOGS System Requirements against your PC, judge performance in a populated live match rather than using the menu or an empty server as the only test.
16GB RAM is required at both tiers
The minimum and recommended tables both list 16GB system memory. That gives players one clear baseline, but browsers, recording software and overlays still consume part of the same memory pool.
Close unnecessary background applications if a PC near the minimum WARDOGS System Requirements is stuttering or paging heavily during large fights.
Requirements can change during Early Access
WARDOGS is still being optimised and expanded, so the current store specification is a September 2026 snapshot rather than a permanent promise for every future build.
Check the official Steam page again if you are reading this much later in Early Access. WARDOGS System Requirements may be revised as performance improves or the content footprint grows.
Drivers and settings matter alongside hardware
A machine can meet the published specification and still underperform with an old GPU driver, heavy recording software, aggressive overlays or a power-saving profile. Those are worth checking before assuming the hardware target itself is wrong.
Large patches can also shift performance temporarily as shaders rebuild or settings reset. Testing more than one match is useful before making expensive upgrade decisions.
For systems near minimum, close unnecessary background applications and use the intended upscaling path before reducing every graphics option at random.
An SSD is still a sensible practical choice for a modern multiplayer game even though the visible Steam table does not mark one as mandatory. Faster storage can improve loading behaviour, but it should not be rewritten as an official requirement that BULKHEAD has not published.
