How to Unlock Zohar in Under Night In-Birth II is straightforward: buy the individual Zohar DLC, make sure the base game is updated, then launch after her release time. Zohar costs $4.99 and, importantly, she is not included in the existing UNI2 Season Pass.
There is no challenge, story requirement or hidden roster condition to grind through. The “unlock” is a DLC entitlement, so the only real complications are buying the correct add-on, being on a platform where she has released and having the latest game version installed.
How to Unlock Zohar in Under Night In-Birth II on launch day
How to Unlock Zohar in Under Night In-Birth II starts with the standalone character purchase. Arc System Works confirms Zohar is available individually for $4.99 on PlayStation, Steam and Nintendo Switch. She is the fourth additional DLC fighter, but she sits outside the earlier Season Pass.
Once the store purchase is attached to your account, download any required DLC entitlement and update UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes to the latest version. On modern storefronts the character file can be tiny because the game update contains most of the data, while the purchase simply grants access. Either way, let the platform finish every queued update before reopening the game.
The publisher’s official Zohar announcement confirms the $4.99 standalone price and platform dates.
Why the Season Pass does not unlock Zohar
How to Unlock Zohar in Under Night In-Birth II catches an easy trap for returning players: owning the UNI2 Season Pass is not enough. The official account specifically warned that Zohar is not included and requires an individual purchase.
That makes her different from characters you may already associate with the pass. If the store page is asking you to pay despite your Season Pass ownership, that is not necessarily a licensing bug. It is the intended release setup for this character.

When you can actually unlock her
How to Unlock Zohar in Under Night In-Birth II also depends on platform timing. PlayStation and Steam get her at 6:00 p.m. PT on September 15, which is 9:00 p.m. ET and 2:00 a.m. BST on September 16. Nintendo Switch does not receive Zohar until September 23 at 6:00 p.m. PT.
If you are checking before your platform’s release time, there is nothing to fix inside the game. The DLC simply is not live for you yet. That is particularly relevant on Switch, where the eight-day gap can make guides written for PC and PlayStation look misleading.
Our Zohar release time guide has the regional conversions, while the Switch guide covers the delayed Nintendo date.
What to do if Zohar still appears locked
How to Unlock Zohar in Under Night In-Birth II should not require any in-game grind, so a locked character after purchase usually points to the installation or licence rather than gameplay progress. Start by fully closing the game and checking the platform download queue for the latest UNI2 patch.
Next, confirm that the Zohar DLC shows as purchased on the same account that owns or can access the base game. On console, restoring licences or restarting the system can help if the store recognises the purchase but the game does not. On Steam, verify that the DLC is ticked in the game’s DLC management screen before relaunching.
Avoid deleting save data or starting a new profile. Zohar is not tied to story completion, so wiping progress would not solve an entitlement problem. How to Unlock Zohar in Under Night In-Birth II never requires sacrificing existing progress or clearing a particular story route.
What you unlock when the DLC is active
How to Unlock Zohar in Under Night In-Birth II gives you access to a fighter designed around speed and the Doppelganger ability. Arc System Works says she fights as a high-speed infighter, coordinating with her double, using giant spikes and creating fast cross-up pressure that can crack a defender’s guard.
That description is enough to decide whether her style appeals to you before buying. If fast pressure, side-switching and layered offense are what you enjoy, Zohar is clearly aimed in that direction. The Zohar beginner’s guide explains how that style fits the core UNI2 systems.
How to Unlock Zohar in Under Night In-Birth II ultimately comes down to buying the $4.99 standalone DLC after it releases, updating the game and launching with the entitlement active. There is no secret unlock condition hiding behind the roster screen. How to Unlock Zohar in Under Night In-Birth II is therefore a purchase-and-update process, not a progression grind.
