Minecraft Dungeons II Corrupted Creeper Cape is available through a limited TikTok and Twitch watchtime promotion ending September 26, 2026. Mojang says you can unlock the reward by watching an eligible Minecraft livestream for 3 minutes on TikTok or 15 minutes in the Minecraft category on Twitch.
This replaces the earlier pre-launch situation where Gamescom was the first known acquisition route and Mojang had not yet published a broadly available online method. If you want the cape, the important thing now is the watchtime deadline rather than waiting for another unspecified promotion.

To get the Minecraft Dungeons II Corrupted Creeper Cape, use either TikTok or Twitch during the active watchtime window. The official promotion runs from September 21 at 12:00 PM PST through September 26 at 11:59 PM PST.
| Platform | Watch requirement | Where to check afterward |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok | Watch an eligible Minecraft livestream for at least 3 minutes on a Game Rewards-enabled stream. | Check TikTok notifications for the completed reward. |
| Twitch | Watch a livestream in the Minecraft category for at least 15 minutes. | Check your Twitch Drops or inventory area for the completed reward. |
Mojang says that once the watchtime requirement is complete, you should check the relevant reward area and then redeem the cape for Minecraft Dungeons II. Use the same Microsoft account you intend to use with the game where the redemption flow asks for it.
When does the Corrupted Creeper Cape promotion end?
The current Minecraft Dungeons II Corrupted Creeper Cape promotion ends on September 26, 2026 at 11:59 PM PST according to Mojang’s live cape promotion page. That makes this a time-sensitive reward rather than a permanent Deluxe Edition or preorder entitlement.
Do not leave the stream running until after the deadline and assume the reward can still be earned. Complete the required watchtime while the promotion is active, then check that the reward has actually appeared in your TikTok notifications or Twitch inventory.
TikTok method: 3 minutes on an eligible stream
The fastest current route to the Minecraft Dungeons II Corrupted Creeper Cape is TikTok because Mojang lists a 3-minute requirement. The stream must be a Minecraft livestream with Game Rewards enabled. A normal Minecraft video or a livestream without the reward feature is not enough.
- Open an eligible live Minecraft stream on TikTok while signed in.
- Confirm the stream is Game Rewards-enabled.
- Watch for at least 3 minutes during the promotion window.
- Check TikTok notifications for the completed reward.
- Follow the reward instructions to redeem it for Minecraft Dungeons II.
Twitch method: 15 minutes in the Minecraft category
Twitch is the other confirmed way to earn the Minecraft Dungeons II Corrupted Creeper Cape. Mojang says to watch a live stream in the Minecraft category for at least 15 minutes. After the requirement is complete, check your Twitch inventory and claim the reward there.
If you already use Twitch Drops regularly, the important difference is simply the shorter promotion window. You do not need to buy the Deluxe Edition, preorder a second copy or own the Soul Pack to qualify for this cape.
Corrupted Creeper Cape vs Hero Cape and Twisted Cape
The Minecraft Dungeons II Corrupted Creeper Cape is a separate promotion from the other launch capes. The Hero Cape is tied to playing the original Minecraft Dungeons and then logging into Dungeons II with the same Microsoft account before its deadline. The Twisted Cape belongs to the preorder package.
The preorder package is now also labelled the Hero Pack on Xbox. Our updated Minecraft Dungeons II preorder bonuses guide explains the two hero skins, Twisted Cape and Twisted Chicken pet without mixing them up with this watchtime reward.
Do you need the Deluxe Edition for the Corrupted Creeper Cape?
No. The Minecraft Dungeons II Corrupted Creeper Cape is not listed as a Deluxe Edition benefit. Deluxe includes the Soul Pack, while the current Corrupted Creeper Cape route is the separate TikTok/Twitch promotion.
If you are comparing the paid bundles, see the Minecraft Dungeons II Deluxe Edition breakdown and our new Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Pack guide. The distinction matters because capes, pets, future DLC and promotional rewards use different entitlement rules.
What if the reward does not appear?
First confirm that the full watchtime requirement was completed on an eligible live stream while the promotion was active. On TikTok, check notifications. On Twitch, check the Drops or inventory area tied to the account that watched the stream.
If the platform shows the reward as complete but you cannot use it in Minecraft Dungeons II, keep the reward confirmation and re-check the official redemption instructions when the game is available on September 29. Do not pay a third-party seller for a code that Mojang is distributing through an official promotion.
Minecraft Dungeons II launches September 29
The cape promotion ends before the game’s September 29 launch. Our Minecraft Dungeons II release date and time page tracks the platform timing, while the platforms guide covers PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Switch and Switch 2.
For first-party news and any later promotion changes, use the official Minecraft website. The current Minecraft Dungeons II Corrupted Creeper Cape method is the September 21 to September 26 watchtime campaign, so that is the route to use while it remains active.
Minecraft Dungeons II Corrupted Creeper Cape: bottom line
The Minecraft Dungeons II Corrupted Creeper Cape is currently a watchtime reward, not a purchase bonus. Complete the TikTok or Twitch requirement before the September 26 cutoff and verify the reward appears on the platform you used.
After that, keep your reward confirmation so the Minecraft Dungeons II Corrupted Creeper Cape can be redeemed through Mojang’s stated Dungeons II flow.
