Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Pack is the Deluxe content bundle containing DLC 1 and DLC 2 as they become available, the Soul Cape, Blub Pet and four Hero Skins. Xbox lists the Soul Pack as a game-required add-on and includes it with Minecraft Dungeons II Deluxe Edition.
The important bit is that Soul Pack is not the same thing as the Hero Pack. Soul Pack is the Deluxe bundle. Hero Pack is the separate preorder reward package with the Twisted Cape, Twisted Chicken pet and two hero skins.
What is included in the Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Pack?
Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Pack Image Mojang Studios.
| Soul Pack content | Confirmed detail |
|---|---|
| DLC 1 | Included when the first post-launch DLC becomes available. |
| DLC 2 | Included when the second post-launch DLC becomes available. |
| Soul Cape | A Deluxe/Soul Pack cosmetic cape. |
| Blub Pet | A cosmetic companion; Mojang describes Blub as non-combat. |
| 4 Hero Skins | Four cosmetic hero variants included in the Deluxe package. |
Those are the currently confirmed Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Pack contents. Xbox’s add-on listing explicitly names both future DLC packs plus the Soul Cape, Blub Pet and four Hero Skins.
Is the Soul Pack included with Minecraft Dungeons II Deluxe Edition?
Yes. The Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Pack is listed as an add-on included with the Deluxe Edition. Xbox’s edition comparison shows Deluxe containing both Soul Pack and Hero Pack when the preorder package is active.
Our Minecraft Dungeons II Deluxe Edition guide covers the full edition, while this page is specifically for players who have seen Soul Pack listed as an add-on and want to know what that label actually means.
Is Soul Pack the same as the Hero Pack?
No. The names are easy to mix up because both can appear under the Deluxe Edition at launch. They refer to different entitlements.
| Feature | Soul Pack | Hero Pack |
|---|---|---|
| DLC 1 and DLC 2 | Yes | No |
| Soul Cape | Yes | No |
| Blub Pet | Yes | No |
| 4 Deluxe hero skins | Yes | No |
| Twisted Cape | No | Yes |
| Twisted Chicken Pet | No | Yes |
| 2 preorder hero skins | No | Yes |
The Minecraft Dungeons II preorder bonuses page explains Hero Pack in detail. The short version is that Hero Pack depends on the preorder offer, while Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Pack is the named Deluxe content bundle.
Does the Soul Pack include the base game?
No. The Xbox page describes the Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Pack as content that requires Minecraft Dungeons II. The Deluxe Edition bundle includes the base game plus its add-ons, but Soul Pack by itself is not a replacement for owning or accessing the game.
If you only want the base game, check the Minecraft Dungeons II price and editions guide. Day-one subscription players can also see the Game Pass guide for what the subscription confirms.
Does the Soul Pack include DLC 1 and DLC 2 at launch?
The Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Pack includes entitlement to DLC 1 and DLC 2 as they become available. That wording matters. Mojang has confirmed the two DLC entitlements, but the current pre-launch material does not mean both expansions are finished launch-day downloads on September 29.
We track that distinction separately in our Minecraft Dungeons II DLC 1 and DLC 2 guide. Until Mojang announces names, dates or detailed contents, anything more specific about those expansions would be speculation.
What is the Soul Cape?
Soul Cape is the cape included with the Deluxe/Soul Pack content. It is separate from the Twisted Cape preorder reward, Hero Cape cross-game reward and Corrupted Creeper Cape promotion.
If you are chasing launch cosmetics, use the requirement attached to the exact cape name. The Corrupted Creeper Cape guide covers the live watchtime promotion, while the Hero Cape guide covers the original-Dungeons requirement.
What is the Blub Pet?
Blub is the cosmetic pet included in the Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Pack. Mojang describes it as a companion that does not fight battles, so it should not be treated as a combat summon, gear slot or paid gameplay advantage.
For the actual build systems, our Minecraft Dungeons II talismans and enchantments guide cover mechanics that affect combat rather than cosmetics.
Can you buy the Soul Pack separately?
Xbox currently has a separate Soul Pack add-on listing and marks it as requiring the game. The pre-launch listing we verified does not show enough information to promise one universal standalone price across every platform or region, so check your own storefront before buying.
That is especially important on Switch, PlayStation and PC storefronts, where bundle labels and regional prices can be presented differently even when the underlying Deluxe contents are the same.

Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Pack: bottom line
The Minecraft Dungeons II Soul Pack is the Deluxe content bundle, not the preorder Hero Pack. Its confirmed contents are the Soul Cape, Blub Pet, four Hero Skins and the first two DLC packs as they become available.
