WoW Midnight Patch 12.2 Eclipse is the expansion’s final major content update, taking players into the Worldcore for the showdown with Xal’atath while adding a new zone, raid, dungeon, Legendary weapon, Paladin race options and a large Season 3 refresh.

The Mantle Vault
Eclipse adds the Mantle Vault, an enormous Titan-hidden zone deep beneath Azeroth. It introduces the Thraegar, ancient crystalline dwarflike allies, alongside a strange ecology built from stone and Azerite.
The Deepskar Empire
Not everything below Azeroth belongs to the Light or the Void. The Deepskar Empire is a coalition of underground troublemakers including kobolds, troggs, drogbar and niffen, giving the zone another hostile power beyond Xal’atath’s Devouring Host.
The Worldcore Raid
The headline group content is The Worldcore, an eight-boss raid built around Void enemies, Titan constructs, living Azerite and the final confrontation with Xal’atath. Blizzard has not published the complete boss list yet.
Midnight’s Edge
The Worldcore starts the path to Midnight’s Edge, the first Legendary weapon of Midnight and the Worldsoul Saga. It is a caster dagger. Blizzard says it is not the Blade of the Black Empire and that killing the raid is only one step in earning it.
Thraegar’s Stand
Eclipse adds a three-boss dungeon called Thraegar’s Stand. Cragcleaver and Foreman Sullk share one encounter, followed by the Azerite elemental Monokk and the Titan construct Stenvarg the Inevitable. The dungeon joins the Season 3 Mythic+ pool.
The Gearhold
Noctinaxx, an enormous Azerite bat, lives in a new Lair called The Gearhold. Blizzard lists World, Normal, Heroic and flexible Mythic difficulties for the encounter.
Season 3 Mythic+
The Season 3 pool includes Thraegar’s Stand, Magisters’ Terrace, Maisara Cavern, The Underrot, Iron Docks, Sanguine Depths, The Stonecore and Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr. Top 1% and top 5% seasonal rewards will be measured within each specialization rather than the entire player population.
Delves and Prey
Valeera Sanguinar’s Delve progression continues with a higher level cap, new Curios and new variations, while Astalor Bloodsworn becomes the new Nemesis. Prey adds Agony Mode as its highest difficulty.
Radiant Screams
Radiant Screams are a new outdoor feature tied to the Worldsoul’s cries inside the Mantle Vault. Blizzard has revealed the theme but not every reward and activity detail yet.
New Paladin Races
Forsaken, Night Elf and Troll characters gain access to Paladin in Eclipse. In practical race terms, that means the standard playable Troll option joins the class; Zandalari Trolls already have Paladins.
Housing and Other Features
Housing gets Showcase, mannequins, copy-paste, multi-select and easier duplicate décor purchasing. Eclipse also adds the Calibration Chamber for testing rotations with cooldown resets and full raid buffs. Patch 12.2.5 later removes armor-type restrictions from transmog.
Release Date
Blizzard has not announced a firm Eclipse launch date in the panel recap. It is the final major Midnight update and leads toward The Last Titan. The official World of Warcraft site will carry the date when the patch moves closer to testing.
