PS Plus August 2022: Tony Hawk’s, Yakuza and Little Nightmares to be given away next month

For over a decade, Sony has given away free games to PS Plus subscribers every month, going all the way back to 2010.

We are now heading into August 2022 and Sony is still keeping up the tradition, having given away hundreds of games over the years.

Here is everything you need to know about the PS Plus August 2022 games.

Sony has officially announced the next games that will be coming to PS Plus in August 2022 for all subscribers. It is expected that exclusive Premium and Extra tier content will be coming to the game, but these new games will be available to the Essential tier too.

Three new games will be given away in August 2022 to PS Plus subscribers, with all three being available on PS4 but two coming with upgraded PS5 versions.

Sony will be giving away the following games:

  • Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered (PS4/PS5)
  • Yakuza: Like A Dragon (PS4/PS5)
  • Little Nightmares (PS4)

It is worth noting that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is the Cross-Gen Deluxe Bundle, which means that players can upgrade to the PS5 version for free, and it also includes the Deluxe Edition bonus content too.

  • ‘The Ripper’ skater from Powell-Peralta®
  • Unique retro outfits for Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero and Rodney Mullen
  • Unique retro content for the Create-A-Skater mode

PS Plus August 2022 release date

The next PS Plus games will go live on the first Tuesday of the month and remain available until the first Monday of the following month.

This means that the PS Plus games for August 2022 will go live on Tuesday, August 2nd, and will remain available until Monday, September 5th.

There is still time to claim the free PS Plus games for July 2022, with them being available until August 1st.

These games are,

  • Dark Pictures: Man of Medan
