Since the leak of a dev kit version of 3.0 update for Genshin Impact has supposedly happened, we’ve been seeing a lot of new leaks for almost everything, from characters, system changes and, as of now, the new enemies in Sumeru that we’ll face while exploring the new area. All of them are complete with footage.

Most of them come from YelanLover, BLANK and similar leakers, who have been occupied with showcasing the new features for the game while Hoyoverse themselves don’t make a public announcement. Strangely, they haven’t revealed anything else for Sumeru since that small trailer during the (problematic) 2.8 livestream.

All of the leaked new enemies in Sumeru

Luckily, we have plenty of gameplay of the new enemies in Sumeru, so check them out! As a bonus, all of them feature Tighnari and, occasionally, Dori. But sadly, their kit is not displayed. At least we can see how good they look in-game.

Most of these enemies will be required for ascending said characters, so it’s time to get used to seeing them for a while.

Desert Rogues

As we’re entering a desert region, nothing fits more than robbers trying to get their way over the Traveler. Those bandits seem to be a Sumeru equivalent to the Treasure Hoarders or to the Kairagi Samurais, so expect to farm them in the next few months if you’re going for the new characters and weapons.

Ruin Gargoyle

The good ‘n old Ruin Guardians also get a region-exclusive version here. The Ruin Gargoyles are much more feral than their previous counterparts, and they come in two versions. The first one is much more akin to a gargoyle, complete with wings and everything. And also, it shoots death lasers, just like your average Ruin Guardian.

Its sibling is the wingless version. This Ruin creature is faster and fiercer, going directly for physical hits and a few other tricks, such as electrical bombs. Just like the previous versions of the Ruin creatures, aim for their weak spots and you should be okay.

Mushroom Spores

These are similar to the ones we’ve already met in The Chasm, and will probably have the same drops. Expect Sumeru characters to use them A LOT. These small little fellas are much like Slimes, each one attacking with its own element. Geo and Anemo are absent, but they may be added at a later date.

Mushroom Raptor

Yeah, this is a thing! A dinosaur-mushroom hybrid that’s about the size of a Vishap, and likewise it should be farmed for its materials as one. This is one of the most original designs of all of the new enemies in Sumeru, looking like it was taken directly from Monster Hunter. Another good sign for the future update.

Electro Regisvine

Something that we knew it would be coming sooner or later. The Electro Regisvine will be one of the new bosses introduced in Sumeru, and its materials are most likely going to be used for Dori. It has all of the regular Regisvine attacks, and whether it will be turned into a mere target for combo testing and damage spotlights for new characters, only time will tell.

More enemies will doubtlessly be revealed with time, maybe by Hoyoverse themselves. For now, these are all of the ones revealed. Sumeru is looking very promising, and hopefully, it will bring that good old feeling of exploring new areas and discovering hidden treasures that Genshin loves to deliver.
