Drawquarium release date and platforms
Developer byKaleb and publisher rokaplay have set the Drawquarium release date for November 13. Steam currently lists Windows as the supported platform, with Windows 10 64-bit in the system requirements. There is no confirmed console or mobile launch.
There’s no confirmed UK price or official global launch hour yet. The free demo isn’t the whole game, so check the Steam page on November 13 for the full version’s availability and price.
How to download the Drawquarium free demo
Open the official Steam page on your Windows PC and select Download Drawquarium Demo. You’ll install the trial directly through Steam, with no separate installer. It’s the easiest way to try drawing and looking after fish before the full release.
Take care when following an older demo video. Kaleb added breeding, new drawing tools and aquarium maintenance after the initial May build, and the public trial has changed during development. The final version may have different options, so follow the controls shown in your current demo.
What can you do when Drawquarium launches?
Drawquarium is a creative sandbox. Draw a fish yourself or choose a premade template if you’re not comfortable with art tools. You can make jellyfish, plants, rocks and castles too. After placing your creations in the water, watch them move and interact with their surroundings.
Your animals need care. Feed your fish and watch them grow as they age. The developer has also announced breeding, baby fish and reactions to food, bubbles and other tank inhabitants. Finished fish can be edited again and moved between different aquariums.

Drawquarium release date: Wallpaper Mode and desktop tools
Wallpaper Mode lets the aquarium run as an animated Windows desktop background. It’s designed as a calm companion to other things you do on your PC, rather than only an activity you open for a dedicated gaming session.
The developer has also shown a timer, journal, checklist and clock for people keeping the aquarium on their desktop while working or relaxing. Wallpaper Mode has received audio and reliability improvements since the first demo.
Golden Scales, breeding and aquarium cleaning
Golden Scales provide progression. The developer says you can spend collected scales on new drawing brushes, template shapes and customisation. There’s no published rate of scales per fish or guaranteed shortcut to earning them, so exact farming calculations aren’t reliable before launch.
Breeding introduces baby fish, while the vacuum removes uneaten food and debris that would otherwise remain in the tank. Decoration options include driftwood, sand colour, lighting and the water level. These features add things to do beyond watching fish swim around.
