Flotsam free on Epic Games Store is one of this week’s giveaways, and you’ve got until Thursday 12 November 2026 at 4 PM GMT to claim it. You get the complete Windows PC base game, not a demo or a free weekend. Finish the £0 checkout in time and the game stays in your Epic library afterwards.
Flotsam is a colourful survival city-builder where you collect rubbish from the ocean and turn it into a home for a crew of drifters. It’s made by Pajama Llama Games and published by Stray Fawn Publishing. Here are the claim steps, the deadline in your time zone and what to check if the store isn’t showing the free price.
Can you keep Flotsam free on Epic Games Store?
Yes. Flotsam free on Epic Games Store runs from 5 to 12 November. When you’ve completed the £0 order, the game is added to the Epic account you used. There’s no paid subscription, and you can install it after the promotion has finished.
Make sure you finish the order. Pressing Wishlist doesn’t claim anything, and Epic also sells a separate Flotsam: Support Pack. That optional add-on isn’t included in the giveaway.
How to claim Flotsam free on Epic Games Store
- Sign into the Epic Games account you want to keep Flotsam on.
- Open the official Flotsam page linked at the bottom, or find it in Epic’s weekly free-games section.
- Choose Base Game and look for the Free price.
- Click Get and check the total is £0.00, or zero in your local currency.
- Complete the Place Order checkout and check for confirmation.
Once the order confirmation appears, you’re done. You don’t need to open the launcher during checkout. If you already own Flotsam on Epic, the button can show it as owned. A Steam copy doesn’t give you an Epic licence, so check which account and store you’re using.
When does Flotsam free on Epic Games Store end in the UK and elsewhere?
Flotsam free on Epic Games Store ends at 4 PM GMT on 12 November, when Epic’s Thursday giveaway changes. Complete the order before that time. Leaving the checkout page open won’t secure the game.

What is Flotsam and what does the free game include?
Flotsam puts you in charge of a floating settlement. Your drifters fish, gather plastic and driftwood, and build platforms and workshops out of whatever they find. The trick is keeping everyone fed, sheltered and supplied with fresh water while you hunt for more resources.
You can sail your town to new areas, pick through old ruins, rescue stranded people and unlock better technology. It’s a single-player management game, with plenty to juggle as your crew grows, rather than a multiplayer survival game.
Epic lists the Windows PC version with achievements, controller support and cloud saves. The minimum requirements include 8 GB RAM, an Intel Core i5 or equivalent and a GeForce GTX 650 or equivalent. The Flotsam free on Epic Games Store offer isn’t a PlayStation, Xbox or Mac licence.
How to find Flotsam in your library after claiming
Open Epic Games Launcher on your Windows PC, sign into the same account used for the free order and select Library. Find Flotsam, click Install and choose your installation location. If you are busy this week, leave it uninstalled. The completed claim remains attached to your account after 12 November.
If you can’t find it, clear any library filters and restart the launcher. Check your Epic account’s transaction history for the £0 order. A missing item is often simply down to being signed into another Epic account, especially if you have more than one login.
Why isn’t Flotsam showing as free on Epic?
If Flotsam free on Epic Games Store isn’t showing up for you, check you’re on the Base Game rather than the paid Support Pack. Sign in, refresh the page and check the price again. Don’t place a paid order expecting the price to change afterwards.
Offers can vary by account region, so check the country set on your Epic account and the official weekly free-games page. If you’re reading this after 4 PM GMT on 12 November and didn’t claim the game, the giveaway has ended.
What about the Idle Champions giveaway?
Epic is also featuring Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms this week, but that game is already free-to-play. The limited offer is Morte’s Champions of Renown Pack, which unlocks five Champions, 160 Platinum Chests, two week-long potions and a familiar for eligible Epic players. Unlike Flotsam free on Epic Games Store, it’s an in-game reward, not a newly free paid game.
Our Idle Champions Morte’s Renown Pack guide explains that promotion. You can also check Free Epic Games This Week for the complete weekly roundup and whether Epic free games stay yours after claiming.
