Farming Simulator 25 Bananas: Plantation Rails, Machete Harvest and Washing Station

Farming Simulator 25 bananas are grown on plantations with rows, transport rails and a washing station. When ripe, the bunches are cut with a machete or by hired workers, hung on the rails and carried to the station for cleaning and packing. On Catuaí, bananas can be planted and harvested throughout the year.

The Beans & Alpacas Expansion introduces this crop as a seven-step process, rather than a conventional field harvest. You’ll need to connect every rail to the washing station, treat diseased plants before harvest and cut back the plants afterwards so they can regrow.

Start by placing plantation rows one at a time or marking the boundary of a larger growing area. With the boundary tool, the game calculates row orientation, rail requirements, planted area and construction cost. Check the proposed layout and leave space for the equipment that will run between the plants.

After building the plantation, install the washing station and connect every transport rail to it. An isolated rail can’t deliver banana bunches for cleaning. This connection is part of the plantation setup, not something to leave until after harvesting.

Equipment for the banana plantation

Use an orchard tractor that fits between the rows, a fertiliser spreader and a fungicide sprayer. You’ll also need the machete for harvesting, a pallet lifter and larger transport equipment for the boxed bananas. Fertiliser can be bought from the shop’s pallets section to improve yield.

Once your products are packed, a forklift or pallet-handling attachment can load them onto a transport vehicle. The banana harvest uses a machete and rails, not the coffee harvester used elsewhere on Catuaí.

Farming Simulator 25 bananas fungal disease

If you notice brown discolouration on the bananas, the plants are showing fungal disease. Apply fungicide while they’re growing, before the final growth stage. This treatment keeps the plantation healthy ahead of the harvest. Fertilising is another job and doesn’t replace fungicide.

GIANTS says fungal disease can be switched off in the game settings if you prefer not to deal with it. Keep an eye on the fruit while it’s growing so you can spray affected rows before harvest.

How to harvest Farming Simulator 25 bananas with a machete

When the bunches are ready, equip the machete and cut the fruit from the plants. Hang the harvested bunches onto the connected rails instead of putting them straight into a trailer. You can do this yourself or hire workers to automate the cutting and handling.

The rail network carries the bunches to the Banana Washing Station. There, they’re washed and packed into banana boxes or pallets that can be moved with suitable loading equipment. This is why the washing station and connected rails must be in place before harvest.

What happens after the banana harvest?

The packed fruit can be sold or delivered to production businesses such as the Banana Drying Station, Dairy, Canning Factory and Bakery. The available products include banana chips, jam, milk, cake, snacks and fried banana. See our production chains breakdown for the finished goods.

After harvesting, cut back the banana plants rather than digging up the whole plantation. They’ll regrow for another cycle. Farming Simulator 25 bananas therefore keep the same plantation and rail infrastructure through later harvests.

Catuaí supports banana planting and harvest year-round, unlike the seasonal coffee calendar. Our coffee cherries guide explains that separate process, while the expansion overview covers how to access Catuaí.

The essential Farming Simulator 25 bananas workflow is to build the plantation and rails, connect the washing station, care for the crop, harvest the bunches, pack them and cut the plants back. Once you’ve packed your bananas, compare the selling price with the factories available on your map before choosing where to send them.
