Farming Simulator 25 Beans and Alpacas released on 27 October 2026, adding the Catuaí map, coffee and banana plantations, alpacas, Brahman cattle and more than 25 new machines. GIANTS Software sells the expansion separately for existing players, and it is also included in the Year 2 Season Pass.
Catuaí is inspired by the Brazilian countryside, with red soil, river settlements and a warm seasonal climate. Coffee and bananas have their own planting and harvesting methods, while alpacas need hands-on care and shearing. Here’s what the expansion includes, how the different editions work and where to begin.
What is included in Farming Simulator 25 Beans and Alpacas?

The central addition is Catuaí, a new South America-inspired map. You’ll find rolling hills, coffee estates, tropical trees, a village and a winding river. The weather follows rainy and dry periods instead of snowy winters, and the local crop calendar reflects the southern hemisphere.
GIANTS Software has added coffee cherries, bananas, alpacas and Brahman cattle along with more than 25 machines and tools. You’ll also find new production businesses, six farmhouses, decorative placeables, community projects and collectibles. Unlike a small equipment pack, the Farming Simulator 25 Beans and Alpacas expansion gives you an entirely new region to build in.
Farming Simulator 25 Beans and Alpacas editions explained
If you already own Farming Simulator 25, the Beans & Alpacas Expansion is the additional content you need. The Year 2 Season Pass includes that expansion. New players can buy the Beans & Alpacas Edition, which bundles the base game and expansion together.
All three buying options provide the same Catuaí content. The Edition already includes the base game, while the expansion and Year 2 pass are for players who own it. GIANTS confirms the expansion launched for PC and consoles. Check the add-on list for your chosen platform if Catuaí isn’t appearing after installation, rather than buying the same DLC twice.
The price of Farming Simulator 25 Beans and Alpacas depends on the storefront and whether you own other pass content. Compare the current expansion price with the Year 2 pass on your platform before buying, especially if you’ve already purchased other Year 2 content.
What’s different about growing coffee and bananas?
You’ll build permanent coffee rows instead of sowing a normal field. Coffee cherries turn red when ripe, then a dedicated harvester collects them for sale or processing. The plants can develop fungal disease, so keeping them healthy is part of the work. Read our coffee cherries guide for the plantation setup, specialist machinery and harvest schedule.
Bananas use a different system: connect transport rails to a washing station, cut ripe bunches by hand with a machete or let workers harvest them, then wash and pack the fruit. You can plant and harvest bananas throughout the Catuaí year. Our banana cultivation walkthrough explains how to connect the rails and what happens after harvesting.
How do alpacas and Brahman cattle work?
Alpacas are available in four coat colours. You can feed them, take them for walks to improve happiness and shear their fleece each spring. The shearing can be done manually or by paying a worker, and their fleece feeds into the new production network.
Brahman cattle are the other new livestock species. If you’re starting an alpaca farm, the alpaca care guide covers hay, breeding requirements, the leash and the shearing process. The Farming Simulator 25 Beans and Alpacas expansion also brings vehicles and equipment from familiar makers and adds Colombo Industries and Southern Spreaders as brands.
Farming Simulator 25 Beans and Alpacas production and exploration
Coffee cherries can be processed into coffee bags and then products such as capsules, beverages, yoghurt and tiramisu. Bananas can become chips, jam and cakes; alpaca fleece can become wool, clothes, plush toys and furniture. The full production chains comparison shows the facilities involved in each line.
There is more to do beyond the farm. You can supply materials for a research station, gather hidden dinosaur bones for the museum and produce materials for repainting community buildings. The map includes parrots and caimans as part of its environment.
For a first session in Farming Simulator 25 Beans and Alpacas, choose whether you’re most interested in managing coffee rows, a banana plantation or livestock. Then work toward the appropriate equipment and production buildings rather than trying to buy every new machine at once.
