Wuthering Waves Camera Mode gained new shooting styles in Version 3.7, including Handheld, Selfie and Drone View. The update also added more control over focus, character lighting, weather and the effects shown in a photograph.
There are two restrictions worth knowing before taking a picture. Selfie is designed for Rover alone, so don’t expect the same poses on every Resonator. And adjusting Time or Weather for a photograph won’t change the world outside the editor.
Wuthering Waves Camera Mode shooting styles

Handheld lets you change the character’s line of sight for a closer portrait. Selfie adds poses and expressions specifically for Rover. Drone View pulls the camera back so you can photograph a distant landmark or a wider landscape without making the character the centre of attention.
If Selfie doesn’t appear while you’re using another Resonator, it isn’t a missing unlock. Kuro Games made the new Selfie features exclusive to Rover. You can still take pictures of other characters and locations using the other available shooting styles.
The three styles give Wuthering Waves Camera Mode more flexibility without forcing every picture into the same composition. Use Handheld for a face or outfit, Selfie for Rover and Drone View when you want to capture a view from farther away.
How to use Quick Focus and lighting
The update adds reference lines and lens templates to help you frame a shot. Quick Focus lets you click the subject you want sharp, then adjust Focus Distance relative to that point. It’s especially useful for portraits where a character needs to stand out from the surrounding scenery.
There are also Lighting Templates for the current Resonator, with a Lighting Direction control. Before choosing a dramatic colour filter, try shifting the lighting so the character’s face, expression or outfit is clearer. It can make a surprising difference to a close-up.
In Wuthering Waves Camera Mode, those tools affect the composition of the photo. They don’t upgrade a character or change their combat appearance. They’re for arranging the scene you want to save.
Wuthering Waves Camera Mode weather and time
The Environment tab lets you change the Time, Weather, Foliage Wind Direction and Strength shown in your shot. Atmosphere can be added too, with adjustable density. Wind direction and strength influence both foliage movement and the atmosphere effects, so you can make them work together.
Kuro warns that a change to the displayed time can take a little while to appear. If the light doesn’t shift instantly, give the editor a moment before changing the setting again.
These settings apply only inside Wuthering Waves Camera Mode. A rainy photograph doesn’t make it rain in the actual open world, and changing the photo to sunset doesn’t advance the time for gameplay. Once you close the camera, the world remains as it was.
Frames, logo and photo filters
You can finish the picture with a preset frame, a Wuthering Waves logo that can be resized, and a range of colour and advanced filter settings. The tools are there for the photograph itself, so you can try a different look without editing the saved image elsewhere.
Camera Mode’s Global Filters are separate from the overworld’s Global Filter settings. That means you can use an unusually dark or colourful filter on one picture and still return to the same normal display when you resume exploring.
Why isn’t Selfie available for another Resonator?
Selfie remains exclusive to Rover. Switch to Rover for those poses and expressions, or use Handheld or Drone View to photograph another character or an area. Kuro hasn’t specified one set of platform-wide controller buttons in the notes, so follow the actual in-game prompts.
For photo tasks, our Past Dreams, Traced Seals guide covers that separate collection event. Camera settings can help make a shot look good, but the task itself still has to meet its own requirements.
Wuthering Waves Camera Mode tips
Start by deciding whether your subject calls for Handheld, Selfie or Drone View. Focus on the subject, adjust the lighting and temporary weather, then finish with a frame or filter if you want one. Wuthering Waves Camera Mode keeps those choices in the photo editor rather than applying them to your gameplay.
