Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Special Program confirmed an October 21, 2026 release for Journey to the Sky, with two new S-Rank Agents, two returning banners and the arrival of mech combat. Phoenix headlines the first half alongside Velina, followed by Severian and Norma in the second half. There are Halloween events and new outfits to look forward to as well.
The October 9 broadcast was particularly exciting because the new combat mechs aren’t limited to standing in one place firing weapons. You’ll be switching between melee and ranged attacks, dodging to set up lasers and using the environment to clear obstacles. The livestream code has already expired, so the upcoming check-in rewards are the ones worth planning around.
Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Special Program release date and story
Version 3.3 launches Wednesday, October 21. HoYoverse’s livestream aired on October 9 at 19:30 (UTC+8), or 12:30pm BST in the UK. Its title, Journey to the Sky, refers to the next chapter of the conflict around Roscaelifer and Booastrum.
With access to Booastrum shut down, the occupied skyport at Quietude Isle becomes the route in. Phoenix and Severian are forced to cooperate despite their differences, while the Proxy travels with Lindverne and gets closer to the mystery of the three Sunbringers and their Karma Cores.
Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Special Program banners and rerun order
The first banner phase opens with the October 21 update. It introduces Phoenix and brings back Velina, alongside their W-Engines, Plume of Rebirth and Joyau Dore. The second phase introduces Severian and reruns Norma, with Incarcerating Grip and Chief Sidekick.
HoYoverse has confirmed that order, but players should check the in-game Signal Search schedule for the exact phase change and regional end times. If you want more than one of these Agents, the livestream code and upcoming login rewards will help with the saving.
Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Special Program Phoenix: Fire Anomaly and Rebirth
Phoenix is an S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent. Her Core Skill, Nirvana, can sear enemies already affected by an Anomaly, allowing later Anomaly damage to deal critical hits. Even a fatal attack doesn’t necessarily end her fight: her Rebirth mechanic can bring her back immediately with full health.

Her signature S-Rank W-Engine is Plume of Rebirth. She’s also getting two new outfits that can be bought together in a bundle at a limited-time 30% discount. The livestream confirmed the discount, not a final price in every region.
Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Special Program Severian: Wind Attack and counters
Severian is an S-Rank Wind Attack Agent arriving in the second half. His Core Skill, Endless Breeze, can automatically dodge an incoming strike and launch a counterattack. Successful dodges and certain attacks build Energy that he can spend on stronger consecutive slashes.
His signature W-Engine is Incarcerating Grip. The second-half shop will also add his uniform outfit, Solemnly Impeccable. Both new Agents are receiving Trust events, dynamic wallpapers and avatars.
Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Special Program mech combat gameplay explained
The big new gameplay feature comes through the main story. Lindverne uses the Karma Core power Genesis Reconstruction to create High Ambitions Corp. combat mechs. Proxies can pilot them to infiltrate enemy bases in disguise, then fight their way through with a completely different set of tools.
You can switch freely between melee and ranged attacks. Using an EX Special Attack or dodging an incoming strike creates an opportunity for a much more powerful laser. The environment is part of the combat, too: shoot explosives or punch heavy objects to move them and make progress through an area.

HoYoverse says the mech gameplay will remain available in future versions. The detailed controls, mission routes and environmental puzzles should be confirmed from the playable October 21 update rather than guessed from a trailer.
Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Special Program Halloween events and rewards
The Halloween line-up includes Night of Supernatural Tricks around Lumina Square and Spooky Funhouse Tales, a new HIA Club VR game. You’ll drive different Trickmobiles and scare off unwanted funhouse visitors. Announced prizes include an Angels of Delusion outfit, a new A-Rank W-Engine and Proxy accessories.
Cyber Miracle Healer, on Duty! has you repair Bangboo affected by toxic chips. Trails of the Hobbling Crow follows the search for Crowe’s attacker, while Repair! Drifting Art involves recovering paintings lost at sea. Area Patrol and Combat Simulation double-drop events return too.
Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Special Program Enigma of the Labyrinth Spooky Trial
The permanent Enigma of the Labyrinth mode gets a seasonal update called Spooky Trial. A Devilboo instructor named Master Devil sets three progressively harder rounds. Candle Cores collected in the trials can be sold after comparing offers from shops belonging to friends or Outpost group members.
If you already enjoy Enigma of the Labyrinth, this gives you a fresh challenge alongside the bigger story update and Halloween event activities.
Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Special Program JRNY2SKY code and expiry
The Special Program redemption code is JRNY2SKY, worth 300 Polychrome, 30,000 Denny, two Senior Investigator Logs and three W-Engine Energy Modules. That code has expired and can no longer be redeemed.
It expired October 11 at 23:59:59 (UTC+8), which was Sunday at 4:59pm BST. We’ve also added it to the Zenless Zone Zero Codes page if you want the reward list in one place.
Zenless Zone Zero 3.3 Special Program login pulls and quality-of-life changes
The version’s check-in events offer a total of 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons. New City Fund extras include a sidebar theme and pendant, giving you something beyond Agents and W-Engines to unlock.
Fairy is also getting a team recommendation feature based on your own roster, with suggested team line-ups and strategies that can be added to a preset with one click. Some Agents will receive tutorial videos, while permanent combat modes will offer more guidance on squad size, synergy and upgrades.
