Wuthering Waves Inner Threshold: Anomaly Puzzle Guide

Wuthering Waves Inner Threshold

Wuthering Waves Inner Threshold is the new Version 3.7 exploration puzzle system used throughout the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou. Inner Thresholds contain anomalies that must be repaired with Heart Realm abilities such as Reconstruction, Stasis and Proliferation, and the live achievement list confirms normal, nested and Composite Anomaly Zones.

The useful way to understand Wuthering Waves Inner Threshold is to identify the anomaly before touching everything in the room. Heart of Flames problems use Reconstruction or Deconstruction, Heart of Frost problems use Stasis, and Heart of Bloom problems use Proliferation. Composite zones combine more than one of those states, so solving only the first obvious interaction can leave the threshold incomplete.

How Wuthering Waves Inner Threshold works

Enter the anomaly space, look for the realm object or condition that is visibly out of place, then use the matching Heart Key ability. Repairing the anomaly changes the room state and can open the route onward, create a Realm Key transition or register exploration progress. Some thresholds are nested, meaning a repaired object or transition can reveal another anomaly space inside the first one.

The achievement Threshold Savant requires repairing every anomaly inside the Inner Thresholds. That confirms the system has a finite completion state rather than being decorative puzzle flavour. If your exploration percentage is short after the obvious chest sweep, unresolved Wuthering Waves Inner Threshold anomalies are one of the first things worth checking.

Reconstruction in Wuthering Waves Inner Threshold

Reconstruction comes from the Heart of Flames Key taken from a Dream Fox Statue. It restores nearby anomalies. Deconstruction reverses reconstructed objects and creatures to their previous state, which means the correct solution can require changing the same object more than once rather than simply activating Reconstruction and leaving it on. Our Heart of Flames Key guide covers the dedicated mechanic.

The achievement First Heart Still Burns is earned by repairing a Dream Fox Statue inside an Inner Threshold outside Exploration and Side Quests, while Wildfire from Heart’s Spark requires repairing all of those statues. A separate nested-anomaly achievement in Heart of Flames confirms that the realm also contains an Inner Threshold inside another anomaly sequence.

Stasis in Wuthering Waves Inner Threshold

Stasis comes from the Heart of Frost Key held by a Dream Kernel Puppet. It freezes nearby objects or creatures in place. The achievement A True Heart tracks repairing one Dream Kernel Puppet inside an Inner Threshold, and Enjoy the Slow Life tracks repairing all of them. Use the Heart of Frost Key guide when a moving object or timed interaction needs to be held in the correct state.

Heart of Frost also contains the hidden Homeward Fin achievement route. That is separate from simply repairing every Kernel Puppet, which is useful to remember if the realm looks complete but an achievement is still missing.

Proliferation in Wuthering Waves Inner Threshold

Proliferation comes from the Heart of Bloom Key held by a Dream Jade Rootstone. It makes eligible objects or creatures grow, and proliferable or destructible targets become easier to identify. The achievement The Best Time to Plant a Tree tracks one repaired Dream Jade Rootstone, while Jade Pedestals the World Over requires all of them. See the Heart of Bloom Key guide for the full loop.

Returning the Key to the restored Rootstone can create a Dream Jade Tree, and another achievement confirms that a Realm Key generated from that tree can open an Inner Threshold. That makes Proliferation both a room-solving tool and part of the traversal chain.

Composite Anomaly Zones in Wuthering Waves Inner Threshold

Composite Anomaly Zones are the clearest proof that the three Key systems are meant to interact. The achievements Too Much Water and And It Never Ends specifically require repairing Reconstruction plus Stasis anomalies and Reconstruction plus Proliferation anomalies respectively. Mixed Feelings requires every Composite Anomaly Zone, so a single-mechanic approach will not finish the system.

When a Composite zone refuses to complete, check whether the first repair changed the room in a way that exposes a second anomaly type. Do not assume the same Key must solve every object in the room. The whole point of the Composite label is that more than one Heart Realm rule is active.

Best way to clear every Wuthering Waves Inner Threshold

  • Identify the anomaly type before interacting.
  • Use Reconstruction for broken or altered states, Stasis for moving or timing-based states, and Proliferation for growable targets.
  • Check for a second anomaly after the first repair in Composite zones.
  • Look for newly opened transitions after repairing a Rootstone or realm holder.
  • Re-enter completed areas if Threshold Savant has not unlocked, because one nested anomaly can be easy to miss.

Wuthering Waves Inner Threshold stops feeling cryptic once the three abilities are treated as a shared puzzle language. Learn what each Key changes, expect mixed rooms to require more than one mechanic, and use the achievements as a checklist when the Nexus exploration percentage says something is still unfinished.
