WoW Wrath of the Lich King Remix is officially coming in summer 2027, sending players back to Northrend for the next Remix event. Blizzard has confirmed the setting and release window, but it has not yet published the full ruleset, reward catalogue or exact start and end dates.

When Is Wrath Remix Coming?
Blizzard placed Wrath of the Lich King Remix on its roadmap for summer 2027. There is no exact launch date yet, so anything more specific than the summer window is still guesswork. The timing also puts the event close to World of Warcraft: The Last Titan, which returns the wider story to Northrend.
What Is a WoW Remix Event?
Remix is Blizzard’s accelerated way of revisiting an older expansion inside modern World of Warcraft. Mists of Pandaria Remix and Legion Remix let players level through familiar content much faster, grow far beyond normal power curves and chase account-wide cosmetic rewards. Wrath is the next expansion receiving that treatment, although Blizzard has not confirmed which older Remix systems will return unchanged.
What Content Should Be Included?
The obvious setting is Northrend and the Wrath of the Lich King expansion itself, with Icecrown Citadel, Ulduar, Naxxramas and the expansion’s dungeons sitting at the heart of that era. Blizzard has not released the event’s exact content schedule yet, so individual raid unlocks, patch phases and altered encounter rules remain unconfirmed.
Will Characters Level Faster?
Accelerated progression is central to the Remix format, and Blizzard is presenting Wrath as the next event in that same line. What has not been announced is the precise starting level, level cap, experience bonuses or whether Wrath will copy Legion Remix progression one-for-one.
What Happens to Remix Characters?
Previous Remix characters eventually converted into normal modern-WoW characters when their events ended. Blizzard has not yet published the Wrath conversion rules, but there is no indication that Wrath Remix is becoming a separate permanent Classic realm.
What About Rewards?
Remix events are heavily collection-driven, so mounts, pets, transmogs and other cosmetics are an obvious part of the appeal. Blizzard has not released the Wrath reward list. Specific claims about Invincible, rare raid mounts or new recolours should wait until the reward vendors and achievements are actually shown.
Is This Wrath Classic Again?
No. Wrath of the Lich King Classic was a recreation of the original expansion’s progression. Remix is deliberately faster, more experimental and tied to modern WoW collections. It is built around replaying an old expansion with altered power progression rather than reproducing the 2008 experience as faithfully as possible.
What Blizzard Has Confirmed
The firm information is the expansion, the summer 2027 window and the continuation of the Remix format. Systems, currencies, exact rewards and the event schedule are still to come on the official World of Warcraft site.
