WoW Forever Invite-a-Friend Codes are bonus invitations included with qualifying World of Warcraft: Forever upgrade purchases. Blizzard starts emailing them on October 20, 2026, and eligible friends can redeem a code to play from November 4 through November 11 without buying their own subscription or game time for that seven-day window.
Skyborne Heroic Pack owners receive one code, while Skyborne Epic Pack and Warcraft Forever Collection owners receive three. These are for launch week, not beta entry, so they work differently from the separate October 21 free stress test and any beta access emails you may already have.
Which editions give WoW Forever Invite-a-Friend Codes?
Blizzard’s purchase announcement confirms the following code counts. Each code is intended to be passed on to an eligible friend so they can try Forever during launch week. Buying a better upgrade increases the number of friends you can invite; it doesn’t extend the code’s access dates.
| Purchase | Launch invitation codes |
|---|---|
| Skyborne Heroic Pack | 1 |
| Skyborne Epic Pack | 3 |
| Warcraft Forever Collection | 3 |
| Gift purchases | Not eligible |
The WoW Forever Invite-a-Friend Codes are a promotional purchase benefit, not universal codes that everyone can find on social media. An account needs a qualifying purchase and must meet the eligibility restrictions. Blizzard explicitly excludes gift purchases from the offer.

When will the invitation codes be emailed?
Blizzard begins distributing WoW Forever Invite-a-Friend Codes by email on October 20, 2026, Pacific Time. Emails may not all arrive simultaneously, particularly across regional time zones. Check the inbox associated with the Battle.net account used for the qualifying purchase rather than a different email you use for another game account.
If your code isn’t there immediately, check spam and promotional folders, then confirm that the purchase was made for the correct account. A gift purchase is not eligible for the promotion. The official announcement doesn’t promise one universal delivery minute for every qualifying customer.
How to send a code to a friend
Once the Blizzard email arrives, copy the launch code and send it privately to the intended recipient. You don’t need to give your friend access to your Battle.net login or share account credentials. They redeem the supplied code through their own Battle.net account and can then join you during the stated launch-week access window.
For the WoW Forever Invite-a-Friend Codes, the invited friend needs to be eligible under Blizzard’s promotional rules. A valid code isn’t a guarantee that an account with existing restrictions can bypass those restrictions. Follow the redemption instructions attached to the email, and avoid sharing a code publicly where someone else might use it first.

WoW Forever Invite-a-Friend Codes: Redeeming one on Battle.net
Blizzard’s standard code-redemption process uses the Battle.net Account page. Your friend signs into their own Battle.net account, opens Account Overview, finds Redeem a Code, and enters the invitation exactly as provided in the October 20 email. Any specific instructions in that email take precedence, because the Forever offer also has account eligibility conditions.
The WoW Forever Invite-a-Friend Codes offer provides November 4–11 launch-week access. Redeeming an invitation early doesn’t make it a beta key. Blizzard’s general redemption page explains where to enter a code; the Forever offer determines who qualifies and when the invitation can actually be used. If redemption fails, check the eligibility details supplied in the original email before assuming it is a typing error.
When can invited friends play?
Invited players get access from November 4 to November 11, 2026, Pacific Time. The main Forever game launches on November 4, and Blizzard specifies that the invitation covers that first week rather than unlimited subscription-free play. It doesn’t mean the friend automatically owns one of the Skyborne upgrade packs or its cosmetic bonuses.
The WoW Forever Invite-a-Friend Codes access is useful for deciding whether you want to continue playing after November 11. Beyond the invitation window, World of Warcraft: Forever normally requires a subscription or paid game time, just like the main game.
Do friends need a subscription?
No active subscription or purchased game time is required for an eligible invitee during their seven-day launch window. That’s the specific benefit of a WoW Forever Invite-a-Friend Codes invitation. Once the period ends, continued gameplay follows the regular subscription or game-time requirement.
Don’t confuse the invite with the free stress test on October 21. That earlier test is open to any World of Warcraft account but lasts only a few hours, and Blizzard wipes its characters afterwards. Your invite code instead applies to the November 4–11 launch experience.
Are the codes the same as Forever beta codes?
No. Beta invitations provide access during the September–October testing period, whereas launch-week invitations become useful when Forever releases in November. Purchasing the Skyborne Epic Pack grants beta access as its own entitlement as well as three launch codes. The Heroic Pack doesn’t grant ordinary guaranteed beta access, but does include one launch code.
For WoW Forever Invite-a-Friend Codes redemption, follow Blizzard’s Battle.net instructions rather than trying to enter a launch invitation into an unrelated beta opt-in screen. Our Forever Beta Access guide explains the different test routes.
What if a code isn’t working?
Check that the code was copied correctly, the recipient is signed into the intended Battle.net account and the invitation is being redeemed according to the email instructions. Codes sent to ineligible accounts, already redeemed codes or gift-purchase entitlements can lead to problems. If the email is missing after distribution begins, use the Blizzard purchase and account support information for the entitlement.
The WoW Forever Invite-a-Friend Codes promotion has a defined access period; it isn’t a permanent key for a full copy of WoW. For Blizzard’s edition comparison and the exact conditions, see its official World of Warcraft: Forever upgrade announcement.
