Worst Class Ever multiplayer supports a maximum of six people in the demo, but developer Funcore Games has announced up to eight players for the full game. The old Steam description still says one teacher versus five students, which explains why those two numbers can seem to contradict each other.
Students try to disappear among AI classmates while sneaking snacks, passing notes and causing trouble. The teacher has to spot which pupils are real players before the pranksters get away with it.
Worst Class Ever multiplayer: Six or eight players?

The original demo was built around one teacher and five human students. That’s six in total. Funcore Games’ full-release announcements raise the room limit to eight, and the new host settings let players adjust the total number rather than always filling the maximum.
The Worst Class Ever multiplayer limit is higher in the full game, and the number of teachers becomes adjustable too. The old one-versus-five store description reflects the demo, not necessarily every new lobby.
Can you choose the number of teachers?
The publisher specifically lists number of teachers among the configurable options, alongside player count and item spawn rate. This is different from promising a particular new eight-player role split. The full list of allowed teacher-to-student combinations is not yet confirmed.
Worst Class Ever multiplayer is designed for different group sizes, but the developer hasn’t published an exact minimum for every custom configuration. Use the actual room screen after release to see which combinations are permitted.
What does the teacher do?
The teacher watches the classroom, uses detection mode to identify human students and tries to stop rule-breaking. Students act inconspicuous among computer-controlled pupils while trying to eat snacks, text, pass notes or pull pranks without being caught.
Worst Class Ever multiplayer relies on observation. As the teacher, you’re looking for behaviour that gives away the human students, not reading labels over their heads. Bigger lobbies mean more people to watch, but the studio hasn’t published a definitive eight-player role split.
Is it online co-op, LAN or couch co-op?
Steam lists online and LAN PvP and co-op options, as well as Steam Cloud and Workshop support. These are network features; they do not establish split-screen local play or cross-platform multiplayer with Xbox and PlayStation.
Worst Class Ever multiplayer is currently listed for Windows. The developer has not made a supported console launch or Game Pass announcement in the material used for this guide. Don’t assume those features just because another classroom party game offers them.
Does the full game have more than larger lobbies?
Yes. Funcore Games announces a female homeroom teacher, up to ten classroom themes, extra prank items and up to twenty room settings. It also promises improved server performance. Our full game features guide explains these additions.
The Worst Class Ever multiplayer launch has a date conflict: the developer says 10 November 2026, but the Steam storefront displays 9 November. See the release date guide before scheduling a launch-night session.
Can you still play the six-player demo?
The publisher announced that the demo would be taken down on 3 November. Older Steam screenshots may still show a demo option. Check actual installation availability before telling friends they can join the free trial now.
The key difference is six players in the demo versus eight planned for the full release. Check the current host settings for exact team arrangements instead of assuming every eight-player room uses the same teacher-to-student ratio.
