Warframe Follie’s Hunt is a three-Shadowgraph escape mission inside the ruined Vesper Relay on Venus, unlocked after Chains of Harrow. The objective is not to kill Follie. Find the three Shadowgraphs, locate Paint pools, carry Paint as your Operator or Drifter to each canvas, and fill all three before extracting.
The part that makes Warframe Follie’s Hunt confusing is what happens when you pick up Paint. Approaching a Paint pool forces you into Operator or Drifter, disables Void Sling and Transference while coated, and turns the run into a movement and survival problem while Follie hunts you. Getting downed while carrying Paint clears it, so a fast route means little if you cannot deliver the load.

Finding Paint in Warframe Follie’s Hunt
Paint pools have a distinct chime and receive a special icon when you get close. If you are wandering without a lead, kill enemies. The mission can create yellow trailing waypoints from kills that guide you toward another Paint pool. Hotfix 42.0.2 also changed those waypoints so that when no Canvas is active they can direct you toward a Canvas instead.
Do not pick up Paint merely because you found a pool. Once coated, your movement options change and Follie becomes a bigger problem. Knowing which Shadowgraph you are feeding before taking the Paint cuts down the dangerous time spent carrying it.
Delivering Paint in Warframe Follie’s Hunt
Walk close to the target Shadowgraph and the Paint is drawn from your Operator or Drifter automatically. You do not need to interact with the canvas. The special HUD gauge shows completion progress as Paint is delivered.
Squad size changes the amount of Paint needed to finish a Shadowgraph. More players can split the searching and delivery work, but the canvas also asks for more Paint. A larger squad is not simply a free reduction in trips.
What to do when Follie starts hunting in Warframe Follie’s Hunt
Follie awakens as Paint is delivered. Her aura damages you and drains Energy when you stay close, and she can use abilities and Shadowgraphs of her own. At launch she was invulnerable, but that is outdated. Hotfix 42.0.2 made hunting Follies damageable. Push one to sufficiently low health and she retreats briefly before resuming the hunt.
The same hotfix reduced her aura damage by one third. You still do not want to stand beside her while carrying Paint, but damaging the hunter now creates a real pressure-release option when she blocks the route.
Warframe Follie’s Hunt: Atramentum rewards
Current completion rewards are 15 Atramentum on Normal Path and 25 on Steel Path after Hotfix 42.0.2. Atramentum Balloons can be popped with weapon damage. There are now 12 balloons in the mission, and balloon Atramentum is shared squad-wide when one player destroys one.
Enemy-dropped Atramentum is different: DE says those drops are not shared squad-wide because they are not guaranteed. Balloons pay 2 to 4 Atramentum on Normal and 3 to 6 on Steel Path. Shoot them when you see them without making every squad member race for the same balloon.
Warframe Follie’s Hunt: blueprint and mission rewards
The reward table can give Follie main and component blueprints, Enkaus main and component blueprints, Faction Syndicate Medallions, Credits or Endo. Steel Path also guarantees one Steel Essence. Check which Follie and Enkaus blueprints you own before spending Atramentum on the matching Zorba purchase.
Warframe Follie’s Hunt: hazards that actually matter
Polyopia creates extra killable Follies. Sticky Ink adds damaging slowing tentacles. Splattering Touch makes enemies explode on contact. Drip Drip Drip creates permanent walls, Gigantism makes enemies larger and healthier, and Draining Effigies place damaging Energy-siphoning Facsimiles that can summon Follie when you carry Paint.
There are also Ink Balloon mines, Ink Mires that lock doors until destroyed, and Deimos Tendril Drones that can latch onto you. Hotfix 42.0.2 made latched Tendrils die immediately after attaching and removed damage and knockdown from the permanent Inky Walls.
Fast Warframe Follie’s Hunt priorities
- Locate canvases before committing to long Paint carries when possible.
- Use enemy kills to produce navigation trails if you lose the route.
- Pop Atramentum Balloons because rewards are squad-wide.
- Reroute around permanent Inky Walls.
- Damage a hunting Follie until she retreats if she blocks the route.
- Protect the Paint carrier because a down loses the Paint.
- Remember Air Support Charges are disabled.
Warframe Follie’s Hunt: quick answer
Warframe Follie’s Hunt is completed by filling three Shadowgraphs with Paint and extracting. Find A, B and C, collect Paint as Operator or Drifter, survive the restricted Paint-carry state, deliver it by standing near the canvas, and repeat. Shoot Atramentum Balloons on the way and use the current damageable-Follie mechanic when the hunter blocks your route.
