Kauai Expeditions is the free offroad playlist released for The Crew Motorfest on October 7, 2026, with Season 11. Ubisoft has announced eight main events and a Suzuki Jimny 2018 Rally Raid reward for finishing the playlist. The island also has photography and beacon objectives for players who want to continue exploring beyond the main campaign.
Kauai Expeditions puts the emphasis on navigating the landscape and using the new winch where the activity calls for it. If your goal is the reward car, campaign completion provides a clear starting point. If you prefer exploration, the announced side activities give you several different ways to organise a session around the island.
Kauai Expeditions access and starting point
Both Kauai and its playlist are announced as free additions to Motorfest. The paid Tomb Raider adventure takes place on Ni’ihau instead. You do not need to buy that expansion just because you want the Kauai campaign, although you do need access to the base game.
Kauai Expeditions is now available with Season 11. Open the game’s playlist selection and look for Kauai Expeditions, then follow its event markers as you progress across the new island. Ubisoft confirms the playlist is free, while the Tomb Raider content on Ni’ihau requires a separate purchase or the Year 4 Pass.

Ubisoft lists the following main events for the playlist:

- Kauai Grande Adventure
This gives you a useful completion checklist without pretending that an event’s name reveals its full objective. As you play Kauai Expeditions, record which main entries show as complete before switching to side activities. If you return after a break, that simple record makes it easier to resume the campaign rather than repeat something unnecessarily.
The terrain around Kauai Expeditions includes swamps, canyons and hidden tunnels. Expect to assess the surroundings as well as the route ahead. Our recommendation is to slow down when an obstruction first appears, identify what the objective is asking for, and then choose a line or interaction. Repeatedly accelerating into the same blocked approach rarely gives you more information.
How the winch fits into the playlist
Kauai Expeditions uses the new winch feature on selected vehicles. Ubisoft describes moving debris, clearing paths and transporting cargo during specific activities. The wider feature also supports environmental puzzles and assistance for stuck vehicles.
For winch tasks, use a vehicle equipped with the feature and watch for a prompt when you approach an eligible object. Ubisoft says compatible cars can be found with the vehicle filter. The winch helps with towing, moving debris and extracting stranded vehicles, but it isn’t available on every car.
If a mission asks you to clear a route, stay near the highlighted object and check that you are using a winch-capable vehicle. The mission prompt is more reliable than guessing a universal winch button, since the required interaction can depend on the activity and your control settings.
Kauai Expeditions reward: Suzuki Jimny
The announced completion reward is the Suzuki Jimny 2018 Rally Raid. Prioritise the eight main events if acquiring that vehicle is your immediate goal. Ubisoft links the reward to finishing the playlist rather than describing it as a prize for photographing every animal on the island.
A Suzuki Jimny Special Edition is also named among seasonal vehicle additions. Do not assume that every similarly named Jimny is the same reward or shares the same acquisition route. Read the full vehicle name and edition in the reward screen before deciding whether you already own what you were trying to earn.
Complete all eight main events in the Kauai Expeditions playlist to earn the Suzuki Jimny 2018 Rally Raid. The 25 wildlife photographs, 23 beacons and 17 photoquests are separate exploration goals, so you don’t have to clear them all to finish the playlist.
Animals, beacons and photoquests
The announced exploration objectives are 25 animals to photograph, 23 beacons to find and 17 photoquests. Keep separate notes for each category. They offer different completion goals, so a single total of everything found is less useful than knowing which type you still need.
For a collection-focused Kauai Expeditions session, work through one area deliberately and note where you left off. If you notice a photo opportunity while doing a main event, remember the location for a later pass instead of losing track of the campaign task. Keeping a short checklist also helps if you split the collection across several sessions and need to remember what you have already covered.
Once you have the Jimny, Kauai’s remaining wildlife, beacons and photoquests give you reasons to explore the swamps and canyons away from the main route. You can return to individual events and pursue the island’s side objectives after completing the campaign.
