Meta description: Find all 43 Tentacle System bots in Astro Bot with this complete guide covering Go-Go Archipelago, Trunk of Funk, Downsize Surprise, Wormy Passage, Wako Tako and Bot of War.

The Tentacle System bots are spread across four main levels, the Wako Tako boss battle and the Bot of War stage in Astro Bot. Some are placed directly along the main route, while others are hidden inside caves, trees, cages, nests and optional platforming areas.

Several Tentacle System bots can only be reached by using each level’s special ability. This includes the frog gloves in Go-Go Archipelago, slime platforms in Trunk of Funk and Astro’s shrinking ability in Downsize Surprise.

This guide explains where to find every bot in the Tentacle System and how to rescue each one.

All Go-Go Archipelago Tentacle System Bots

Go-Go Archipelago is the first main stage in the Tentacle System and contains seven bots.

BotLocation
Go-Go Archipelago Bot 1Beside a campfire inside the cavern on the left of the starting area.
Go-Go Archipelago Bot 2Tied to a tree on the right side of the opening area.
Go-Go Archipelago Bot 3Inside a cage on a wooden bridge after the second puzzle piece.
Go-Go Archipelago Bot 4Inside a hidden cave opened with the boulder and pressure plates.
Go-Go Archipelago Bot 5Trapped inside a clam enemy above the bridge area.
Go-Go Archipelago Bot 6Stuck in a tree on the shipwreck island.
Go-Go Archipelago Bot 7Hidden inside a barrel near the two rabbit enemies.

Go-Go Archipelago Bot 1

At the beginning of the level, head into the cavern on the left.

Bounce across the lily pads until you reach a small campfire. The first bot is standing beside it.

Go-Go Archipelago Bot 2

Return to the opening section and travel towards the right-hand side.

The second bot is tied to a tree and surrounded by enemies. Defeat every enemy nearby, then hit the bot to rescue it.

Go-Go Archipelago Bot 3

Continue through the level until you have passed the area containing the second puzzle piece.

Destroy the wooden crates and follow the path to the right. You will reach a bridge with a bot trapped inside a cage.

Break the wooden bridge beneath the cage. The cage will fall to the lower level, allowing you to reach and rescue the bot.

Go-Go Archipelago Bot 4

After saving the third bot, remain on the lower level and pick up the large boulder using both frog gloves.

Throw the boulder at the cliff wall with the face carved into it.

A doorway will appear, along with several pressure plates. Step on the correct plate to open the illuminated door, then enter the cave to find the fourth bot.

Go-Go Archipelago Bot 5

Return to the top of the cliff where the wooden bridge was located.

Head left and perform a ground slam on the pressure switch. Three flowers will grow from the ground, creating a route upwards.

At the top is a clam-shaped enemy holding a bot inside its mouth. Approach the clam and use both frog gloves to grip its sides and pull it open.

Go-Go Archipelago Bot 6

Cross the bridge and continue until the banana-shaped handrails appear.

Instead of following the main route, turn around and look for a cannon surrounded by enemies.

Defeat the enemies and ground slam the pressure plate. This creates a tightrope leading to an island with a shipwreck.

Climb to the upper part of the wreck and slam the pressure plate to release the bot from the tree.

Go-Go Archipelago Bot 7

Continue until you reach a cliff containing two rabbit enemies.

After defeating them, look for the nearby barrel with a wire protruding from it. Pull the wire to reveal the final bot in Go-Go Archipelago.

All Trunk of Funk Tentacle System Bots

Trunk of Funk contains seven bots and introduces the slime jetpack ability.

BotLocation
Trunk of Funk Bot 1Riding a deer in the first large outdoor area.
Trunk of Funk Bot 2On a mushroom beside the first bot.
Trunk of Funk Bot 3Inside an egg in a bird’s nest while climbing the tree.

Trunk of Funk Bot 5On a floating platform outside the tree.
Trunk of Funk Bot 6Behind a pressure-plate door near the large worm.
Trunk of Funk Bot 7Inside a cave beyond the honey and spike section.

Trunk of Funk Bot 1

Enter the first large area after the opening section.

The first bot is riding on the back of a deer. The deer changes direction frequently, so try to cut across its route rather than chasing it directly.

Hit the bot when you are close enough to knock it off and rescue it.

Trunk of Funk Bot 2

The second bot is located close to the first.

Look towards the mushroom platform on the right. A mole enemy is protecting the bot, but it moves slowly enough for Astro to glide across and rescue it safely.

Trunk of Funk Bot 3

Continue until Astro obtains the slime jetpack and begins climbing around the outside of the tree.

Instead of following the main path, look towards the right for a bird’s nest.

Use slime to create temporary platforms leading to the nest. The bot is trapped inside an egg, which can be broken with a basic attack.

Trunk of Funk Bot 4

Progress until you first use the slime ability to glide upwards through a stream of air.

The exit door opens on the right, but do not leave immediately. Continue travelling upwards and look for a wire hanging from a large bulb.

Pull the wire to release the fourth bot.

Trunk of Funk Bot 5

After leaving the inside of the tree, look away from the main route for a distant floating platform.

Use the slime jetpack to create a series of temporary platforms. Cross them to reach the fifth bot.

Trunk of Funk Bot 6

Continue until you reach the checkpoint beside the huge worm emerging from the tree.

The correct route heads right, but the bot is hidden on the left.

Defeat the nearby enemy and pull the wire that appears. A set of pressure plates will be revealed on the wall.

Press the correct plate to open the hidden compartment containing the bot.

Trunk of Funk Bot 7

After defeating the two jar enemies, the main path continues to the right.

Head left instead and use the honey-covered surfaces to bounce over the spikes.

Follow the route into the cave to find the final Trunk of Funk bot.

Downsize Surprise Bot 6Inside a bird’s nest at the top of the garden tree.
Downsize Surprise Bot 7Hanging from the clock ledge beyond the padlock.

Downsize Surprise Bot 1

After shrinking for the first time, climb the wall and look to the right.

The first bot is trapped inside a hanging cage.

Remain small and climb across the mushrooms to enter the cage. Once inside, return Astro to full size.

The cage will break open and the bot will fall out.

Downsize Surprise Bot 2

Before climbing the washing line, return to the main garden and travel all the way to the left.

Destroy the crates filled with apples, then shrink down and enter the small opening behind them.

Break the brown interior wall to find the second bot caught inside a spider’s web.

Downsize Surprise Bot 3

Continue into the bedroom and inspect the bed.

A bot-shaped lump can be seen moving underneath the covers.

Shrink down and crawl beneath the blanket, then return to normal size to throw the covers aside and free the bot.

Downsize Surprise Bot 4

Leave the bedroom and enter the garden.

The fourth bot will drop directly onto the route as Astro exits the room, making it one of the easiest Tentacle System bots to collect.

Downsize Surprise Bot 5

On the terrace outside the bedroom, travel towards the left and climb onto the rooftop.

A toy frog is blowing bubbles nearby.

Shrink Astro and jump onto one of the bubbles. Ride it upwards, then leap into the hanging bird cage to rescue the fifth bot.

Downsize Surprise Bot 6

In the main garden, shrink Astro and climb the large tree using the mushrooms and leaves.

A green-coloured bot is sitting inside the bird’s nest near the top.

Downsize Surprise Bot 7

Continue from the tree towards the terrace.

Shrink down and enter the padlock, then climb along the edge of the large clock.

After passing through the mechanism and emerging on the other side, rescue the bot hanging from the ledge.

A bot is holding onto the hand. Strike it with the frog gloves when the hand passes close enough to Astro’s position.

After using the orange mushroom, take the left path instead of continuing right.

Defeat the cactus enemies and locate the large circular cactus at the end of the route.

Punch the cactus to release the themed bot hidden inside.

Wormy Passage Bot 5

After defeating the group of worm enemies, you will reach a wall containing two windows.

Break the lower window to find a bot trapped in a spider’s web.

Wormy Passage Bot 6

Continue until the route splits into a left and right path.

Take the left route and search the bushes. A Clicker-themed bot is hiding among the plants.

Wormy Passage Bot 7

Near the end of the level, Astro will be swallowed by the giant caterpillar.

Begin climbing through its interior. The final bot is standing directly on the route and waving a flag.
