The Season of Scares Quest Schedule and Rewards in Disney Dreamlight Valley spans six quests from September 23 to October 28, 2026. Week 5, Let the Games Begin, became available on October 21, followed by Oogie Boogie’s Big Game on October 28. Start the first quest before November 4 and you can finish the chain later.
Oogie Boogie and Zero are the big permanent rewards, and you don’t have to complete every quest in the week it appears. You’ll need Peaceful Meadow, Scrooge’s Store and Chez Remy unlocked to start. Below are the dates, how to enter the event and what Gameloft has confirmed about the prizes.

Use the Season of Scares Quest Schedule and Rewards above to track each Wednesday’s unlock. You can catch up on earlier quests afterward. As long as you’ve begun A Halloween Invasion before November 4, Gameloft says the rest of the chain can be finished at your own pace. Missing a Wednesday won’t cost you the chance to earn Zero or unlock Oogie Boogie.
When does Season of Scares start and end?
The first Season of Scares quest opened September 23, and the sixth, Oogie Boogie’s Big Game, is scheduled for 28 October 2026. Finish Let the Games Begin before starting the finale. Completing the final quest permanently unlocks Oogie Boogie. The exact final puzzles and items have not yet been verified in available live walkthroughs, so this schedule does not invent steps.
In the Season of Scares Quest Schedule and Rewards, 4 November is the deadline to begin A Halloween Invasion, not a deadline to finish all six quests. If you started the first quest in time, Gameloft confirms you can finish the remaining stages later and permanently unlock both Oogie Boogie and Zero.

The Season of Scares Quest Schedule and Rewards table now includes Zero’s confirmed Week 3 unlock and the Week 5 Lucky Wheel reward. Players who have already finished earlier missions can continue straight to Let the Games Begin through Oogie Boogie’s mailbox letter.
What are the Season of Scares rewards?
The headline rewards are Zero, a permanent companion, and Oogie Boogie, a permanent villager. You’ll earn them by progressing through the six-week chain. Zero unlocks in Week 3, The Ghost in the Portrait. Week 5 rewards Lucky Wheel furniture, while Oogie Boogie becomes a permanent villager after Week 6.
Our Zero companion guide covers the permanent pet, while the Oogie Boogie unlock guide explains how to keep him after the event. Weekly quests also award individual items, including the Lucky Wheel in Week 5.
How to unlock the Season of Scares quests
To access the Season of Scares Quest Schedule and Rewards, you need Peaceful Meadow, Scrooge McDuck’s Store and Chez Remy unlocked. Check your in-game Mail after the update, then enter Scrooge’s Store and investigate the mysterious mirror that starts the event.
The Season of Scares start guide covers the full setup, while the mirror location guide focuses on the store trigger if you cannot see the event entrance.
Do later quests unlock if you are behind?
Yes. The wording around the Season of Scares Quest Schedule and Rewards indicates that each quest becomes available on its scheduled date, but there is no requirement to complete the previous stage during its original week. You can catch up later as long as you entered the overall chain in time.
If you start the event after October 7, begin A Halloween Invasion before November 4, then finish the following missions in order. You won’t need to wait for another Wednesday to complete an already available quest. Progress through the quests in order as they become available to your save.
Can you unlock Oogie Boogie after November 4?
Yes, if you started the first quest in time. This is the biggest long-term detail in the Season of Scares Quest Schedule and Rewards. Gameloft says players who began the event before November 4 can finish later and still permanently unlock Oogie Boogie and Zero.
If you miss the entry deadline entirely, Gameloft says Oogie Boogie will return around Halloween next year. The official Season of Scares event page confirms the calendar and November 4 requirement.
