The RuneScape Brooch of the Gods rework will not move portable skilling station bonuses onto the Brooch. Instead, Jagex proposes giving six Dungeoneering scroll effects an extra five percentage points of activation chance while the Brooch is equipped.
Portable skilling station items are being removed separately in November, while this Brooch change belongs to Jagex’s planned late-November rebalance. The update hasn’t gone live yet. Here’s which scrolls benefit and how the new chances would work.
RuneScape Brooch of the Gods rework: what changes?
Six scrolls receive the proposed bonus where they have a chance-based effect. The Brooch would increase the triggering chance by five percentage points, not multiply the existing chance by 1.05. A 10% chance would become 15%, rather than 10.5%.
| Eligible scroll | Proposed Brooch effect |
|---|---|
| Scroll of Life | Add five percentage points to eligible seed-return chances |
| Scroll of Cleansing | Add five percentage points to eligible activation chance |
| Scroll of Efficiency | Add five percentage points to eligible bar-refund chance |
| Scroll of Proficiency | Add five percentage points to eligible activation chance |
| Scroll of Dexterity | Add five percentage points to eligible activation chance |
| Scroll of Restoration | Add five percentage points to eligible activation chance |
The extra chance applies to these six eligible scroll effects, not every Dungeoneering reward. Each effect still follows the rules of its own scroll.

Scroll of Life: how much better is the seed return?
Jagex gives exact examples for the Scroll of Life. The normal 10% seed-return chance would become 15% with the proposed Brooch bonus. The separate tree seed return chance would increase from 5% to 10%.
The increase is especially noticeable for tree seeds: the return chance doubles from 5% to 10% when you have the Brooch equipped.
What happens to Scroll of Efficiency?
The Scroll of Efficiency example is just as specific. Its bar-refund activation chance would rise from 2% to 7% under the proposal. It is not a 5% relative increase on the old 2% figure, and it doesn’t mean five extra bars are refunded per use.
For RuneScape Brooch of the Gods rework calculations, the figures mean better odds of an effect triggering, not a guaranteed return every few uses.
Do portable skilling station benefits move onto the Brooch?
No. Jagex is removing portable skilling station items through a separate MTX cleanup rather than relocating their bonuses to the Brooch. The new scroll interactions are an alternative design direction, not a renamed version of the old portable bonuses.
If you previously used the Brooch alongside portable stations, don’t expect their current combined benefits to carry over. Jagex is replacing part of the Brooch’s value through Dungeoneering scrolls instead.
Which scrolls don’t benefit from the Brooch?
Scrolls without a chance-based effect are excluded, along with scroll effects that only work inside Daemonheim or Dungeoneering. The RuneScape Brooch of the Gods rework applies to the six named eligible scrolls in the table, not to every reward bought with Dungeoneering tokens.
If a scroll has no relevant activation chance to increase, this proposal does nothing for it. The table above is the complete list of scrolls Jagex names for the new Brooch effect.
When is the RuneScape Brooch of the Gods rework releasing?
Jagex is aiming for late November 2026 for the rebalance, with no exact date attached to the Brooch change. The portable-item cleanup is a separate November event, so don’t assume both features change on the same day.
Before the RuneScape Brooch of the Gods rework goes live, check which of the six scrolls you’ve unlocked. The published examples are straightforward: seed return 10% to 15%, tree seed return 5% to 10%, and bar refunds 2% to 7%.
