Pokémon GO Dynamax Trails 2026 runs from Monday 16 November at 10:00am until Monday 23 November at 8:00pm local time. Previously released non-Legendary and non-Mythical Dynamax Pokémon return to Max Battles, more Power Spots appear, and the event GO Pass offers an Eternatus encounter or Candy for players who already caught one.
You can unlock the pass two days early and get Deluxe for free by claiming Tier 1 rewards on the preceding Into the Wild GO Pass. Otherwise, the free Dynamax Trails pass starts automatically on 16 November, with an optional paid Deluxe upgrade.
Pokémon GO Dynamax Trails 2026: full event dates
The main event starts at 10:00am local time on 16 November, while GO Points can be earned until 8:00pm on 23 November. Unlocked pass rewards expire at 8:00pm local time on Wednesday 25 November. Don’t confuse the final chance to earn points with the later deadline for claiming them.
Dynamax Trails follows Wild Area Global on 14–15 November, but the two events have separate rewards. The GO Safari Balls from Wild Area expire after the Global weekend and can’t be kept for Dynamax Trails. You don’t need a paid Wild Area ticket to receive the free Dynamax Trails pass.
Pokémon GO Dynamax Trails 2026: how to get a free Deluxe upgrade
Open GO Pass: Into the Wild and claim the Tier 1 reward. This unlocks Dynamax Trails early, from Saturday 14 November at 10:00am local time, and automatically grants GO Pass Deluxe. Make sure you’ve actually claimed the reward, not just earned enough points to reach the tier.
Without that entitlement, Deluxe normally costs US$4.99 or its local equivalent. You can upgrade during the event and still collect previously unlocked Deluxe ranks. Free players can follow the standard GO Pass without making a purchase.
Pokémon GO Dynamax Trails 2026: which Dynamax Pokémon return?
All previously released non-Legendary, non-Mythical Dynamax Pokémon can appear in Max Battles during the event. Power Spots are more numerous than usual. Winning a Max Battle and successfully catching the featured Pokémon can provide a commemorative Special Background.
Check nearby Power Spots during the event to see which Pokémon and battles are available. The returning Max Battle pool includes previously released non-Legendary and non-Mythical Dynamax Pokémon, and individual Power Spots can offer different encounters.
Pokémon GO Dynamax Trails 2026: Max Particle bonuses
During the event you have a chance to receive Max Particles when catching featured wild Pokémon or after completing Max Battles. There are also more Power Spots available to visit. The wild-catch bonus does not apply to catches made with Pokémon GO Plus + or the Explorer Gadget.
On Saturday 21 November, the Eternamax Eternatus window has additional bonuses: faster Power Spot refreshes, an increased 2,400 Max Particle daily collection limit and eight times the usual Max Particles from Power Spots. These are special bonuses for that date, not the entire week.
Pokémon GO Dynamax Trails 2026: free GO Pass rewards and Eternatus
The free pass offers encounters with Dynamax Pokémon that may have Special Backgrounds, Stardust, Rare Candy, stickers and an Eternatus encounter. If you’ve already caught Eternatus, the encounter is replaced with 100 Eternatus Candy. Both free and Deluxe rewards contain Eternatus Candy and Candy XL.
Deluxe adds additional Dynamax encounters, more Eternatus Candy and Candy XL, Silver Pinap Berries and Rare Candy XL. Pass milestones unlock double catch Stardust at Rank 15, a reduced Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect cost at Rank 35, and bonus Candy and Candy XL from Max Battles at Rank 55.
Pokémon GO Dynamax Trails 2026: Eternamax battle times
On Saturday 21 November, from 11:00am to 2:00pm local time, Eternamax Eternatus takes over most Power Spots. Winning awards Eternatus Candy and Candy XL, not a catchable Eternamax Pokémon. The catchable regular Eternatus is a separate reward on the event GO Pass.
Plan ahead with a team of eligible Max Pokémon and other Trainers. The event’s three-hour boss window is shorter than the wider week of Max Battles, so it’s the part of Dynamax Trails you won’t want to leave until the last day.
Field Research and Spotlight Hour
Event Field Research awards encounters with themed Pokémon, Stardust and Eternatus Candy. On Thursday 19 November from 6:00pm to 7:00pm local time, Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble feature in Spotlight Hour, with double catch Candy and Shiny possibilities.
For Pokémon GO Dynamax Trails 2026, start by checking your early access and Deluxe entitlement, then work through Pass Tasks and Max Battles. Set aside time for Eternamax on 21 November, and collect all unlocked pass rewards before the 25 November deadline.
