Pokémon GO Minior Core Colors arrive across six meteor showers between October 2026 and August 2027. There are seven variants to collect: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet. The first colour debuted during Orionids on October 19, with the remaining colours rolling out at later events.
Every wild Minior initially wears its rocky Meteor Form. The colour inside appears when the Pokémon shifts to Core Form during an eligible battle, which is different from choosing another colour. Here are the release dates, how to collect the variants and what that battle change actually does.
All seven Pokémon GO Minior Core Colors
The Pokémon GO Minior Core Colors variants are different appearances of the same Pokémon. They’re appearances of the same species rather than different evolutions. Niantic hasn’t announced any colour-specific moves or stat differences.
| Core colour | Pokémon name |
|---|---|
| Red | Minior (Red Core) |
| Orange | Minior (Orange Core) |
| Yellow | Minior (Yellow Core) |
| Green | Minior (Green Core) |
| Blue | Minior (Blue Core) |
| Indigo | Minior (Indigo Core) |
| Violet | Minior (Violet Core) |
Minior’s Core colour is concealed by its dark rocky shell when encountered in Meteor Form. The official announcement doesn’t provide a complete colour-by-date chart. The event artwork displays all seven variants together, but they become available across multiple events.

The October Orionids shower starts the collection with one Core colour. The published event schedule confirms the release sequence, while the December Geminids shower has separate debuts for the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
How to get Pokémon GO Minior Core Colors
Catch Minior in the wild during one of the Minior Showers. The first is the Orionids event on October 19 to 24, followed by five more showers through August 2027. Niantic says each event debuts a new Core colour, except Geminids, when different new colours arrive in the north and south.
Niantic hasn’t announced any Candy, item or button that changes a caught Minior from one Core colour to another. You’ll need to look for the variants that become available during later meteor showers.

Can you change the Minior Core colour?
No player-controlled method for changing between Pokémon GO Minior Core Colors has been announced. Niantic confirms a switch between Meteor Form and Core Form during certain battles, but that doesn’t mean you can turn a Blue Core Minior into a Yellow Core Minior.
The form change removes the rocky shell, revealing the colour the Pokémon already has. It doesn’t evolve Minior, spend Candy or allow you to select another Core variant.
How Minior changes form below 50% HP
In Meteor Form, Minior has higher Defense and lower Attack. When its HP falls below 50% in an eligible battle, the shell breaks to expose Core Form, raising Attack and reducing Defense.
At debut, the transformation works in battles against Team GO Rocket, team leaders and in the GO Battle League. Niantic hasn’t included regular Gym or Raid battles in the initial list. Minior also won’t be eligible for the 2027 Latin America International Championships.
Can you collect all seven in one hemisphere?
That hasn’t been confirmed. The Pokémon GO Minior Core Colors rollout includes a regional difference during the December Geminids, with a different colour debuting north and south of the equator. Niantic hasn’t detailed whether both will later appear worldwide or whether trading will be needed to complete a collection.
Start with the Minior available during October’s Orionids, then look for more variants during later showers. The seven colours arrive across several events, so they can’t all be collected during the initial October shower.
