Pokémon Champions Regulation M-C Items add 12 held items with the September 9, 2026 update: Leek, Rocky Helmet, Air Balloon, Red Card, Binding Band, Eject Button, Normal Gem, Terrain Extender, Electric Seed, Psychic Seed, Misty Seed and Grassy Seed.

The new Pokémon Champions Regulation M-C Items arrive with a roster that includes Rillaboom, Indeedee and Pincurchin, so terrain support becomes especially relevant immediately. Four of the 12 additions are terrain Seeds, and Terrain Extender is included in the same item batch.

Five of the new Pokémon Champions Regulation M-C Items are directly tied to terrain play: Terrain Extender plus Electric Seed, Psychic Seed, Misty Seed and Grassy Seed.

Terrain Extender lengthens terrain created by the holder under the item’s normal game effect, while each Seed activates in its matching terrain. The exact strategic value depends on team construction rather than the item simply being new.

Rocky Helmet and Air Balloon

Rocky Helmet and Air Balloon are two of the most familiar competitive Pokémon Champions Regulation M-C Items. Rocky Helmet punishes contact by damaging the attacker, while Air Balloon gives the holder Ground immunity until the Balloon is popped by damage.

Both items create immediate matchup considerations without requiring a new Pokémon or Mega Evolution to function.

Red Card, Eject Button and Binding Band

Red Card, Eject Button and Binding Band add more switching and trapping utility to the Pokémon Champions Regulation M-C Items pool. Red Card can force an attacker out after hitting the holder, while Eject Button switches its holder out after it is hit.

Binding Band is designed around binding or trapping damage, increasing the passive damage caused by those effects while the item is held.

Leek and Normal Gem

Leek and Normal Gem round out another part of the Pokémon Champions Regulation M-C Items list. Leek is the signature held item associated with Farfetch’d and Sirfetch’d, both of which are available in the M-C roster.

Normal Gem is a consumable item that boosts a Normal-type attack when it activates. It joins the wider held-item pool without changing the one-copy-per-team rule used in Regulation battles.

Are More Items Banned in M-C?

The arrival of new Pokémon Champions Regulation M-C Items does not come with an official announcement of a fresh blanket item ban list. The core published item rule remains that duplicate held items are not allowed.

If an item is not available in Pokémon Champions, that is different from an item being newly banned by Regulation M-C. The September update is expanding the available pool with these 12 items.

The official Regulation Set M-C announcement confirms the M-C ruleset and the fact that the September update adds new competitive content; the live roster now contains these Pokémon Champions Regulation M-C Items additions.
