PEAK PS5 Release Date: Crossplay With PC, Multiplayer and All Included Content

PEAK PS5 release date

PEAK PS5 release date is October 22, 2026. Team PEAK confirmed that the cooperative climbing adventure is coming to PlayStation 5 with crossplay between PS5 and PC. You’ll be able to climb with up to three friends, and the console version includes the biomes, equipment and content updates that have already arrived on PC.

The game began as a collaboration between Aggro Crab and Landfall and challenges nature scouts to climb a dangerous mountain while managing hunger, injuries and stamina. Friends can make the ascent easier, but a missed handhold or a teammate left behind can still bring the whole expedition to an end.

PEAK PS5 release date and launch time

The official PlayStation Blog confirms Thursday, October 22. The developers have not given a specific UK launch hour or price in the announcement, so the PlayStation Store listing will be the place to check when those details are available. This isn’t a PlayStation-exclusive new game: PEAK is already playable on PC.

The PEAK PS5 release date also includes the crossplay update. You won’t need to wait for another multiplayer patch just to join friends who have been playing the PC version.

Does PEAK PS5 have PC crossplay?

Yes. The developers have confirmed full crossplay between PC and PS5, with up to four climbers in one group. That allows a PlayStation player to go on the same expedition as friends on PC rather than being limited to a separate console player pool.

The PlayStation announcement doesn’t document every in-game invite button or account requirement, so follow the multiplayer menu that appears after the PS5 launch. Crossplay does not automatically confirm cross-progression or transferring your Steam save to PlayStation.

PEAK PS5 release date: How many players can join?

You can play solo or in a party of up to four people. Working together lets you help friends over ledges and share equipment, though everyone still needs to manage stamina and watch for hazards. Your team can choose the best route up the mountain as conditions change.

The PEAK PS5 release date announcement doesn’t specify whether PlayStation Plus is mandatory for online multiplayer. Check the PlayStation Store’s multiplayer requirements rather than subscribing solely because the game supports online play.

PEAK PS5 release date: All content included

The PS5 version has all four current biomes, the equipment and every content update released since PEAK’s initial PC debut. The developers specifically confirmed that customised runs are available, including the option to allow characters to kick other scouts. There isn’t a reduced PS5 version with only the original launch areas.

Hazards include tornadoes, poison clouds, birds and zombies. You’ll need to scavenge for food, manage injuries and watch your stamina, which becomes more limited when your scout is hurt. Custom runs let your group adjust how punishing the expedition feels.

Does PEAK PS5 support cross-save?

Cross-save and cross-progression have not been confirmed. The announcement discusses joining other platforms for multiplayer but doesn’t explain moving unlocks or character progress between PC and PS5. If you’re switching devices, don’t assume your previous PC progress will appear on console.

The PEAK PS5 release date brings the same current game content to PS5, but that doesn’t establish a shared save system. Nor has a separate physical edition or PlayStation-exclusive reward set been announced.

Can you play PEAK alone?

Yes. Although the game is built around helping friends, the developers say you can play on your own. You’ll still face the same challenge of reaching the summit before hazards and hunger overcome you. When playing solo, route choice and stamina management become even more important because there is nobody to help with a fall.

With the PEAK PS5 release date just days away, PS5 players can prepare to try the entire existing experience on October 22, whether with PC friends or alone. For the confirmed date and console features, see the official PlayStation Blog announcement.
