Pokemon Sleep Packed Portions Cooking Week Part 3: Bonuses, Pokémon and Dates

packed portions cooking week official

Packed Portions Cooking Week Part 3 turns an ordinary Pokémon Sleep week into a much more aggressive cooking and ingredient cycle. Several bonuses stack at once, including larger pots, stronger dishes, extra Energy recovery, increased ingredient gathering and boosted appearances for Ingredient specialists. That combination creates more decisions than the event name suggests, particularly if you are choosing between chasing Foongus, pushing Snorlax Strength and spending scarce Dream Shards on the returning Mini Candy Boost.

The event is also unusually dependent on area choice because its core bonuses work everywhere while the boosted Pokémon list changes from island to island. A player who only looks at the headline mushroom can easily miss stronger secondary targets, and a player who only looks at the biggest cooking numbers can overlook the Sunday spike. Treating the week as one connected plan makes the bonuses much easier to use without turning every mechanic into a separate grind. Packed Portions Cooking Week rewards normal sleep and cooking routines most when those bonuses are planned together instead of chased as separate mini-events.

The event window for Packed Portions Cooking Week runs from October 5 at 4:00 a.m. until October 12 at 3:59 a.m. The mission period uses the same window, and the event is active in every research area. Each event day rolls over at 4:00 a.m., which matters when you are deciding whether sleep data belongs to the event period.

Pokémon Sleep states that bonuses apply to sleep data tracked during the event. Sleep data tracked before the event does not gain the bonuses just because it is reviewed later, while qualifying sleep data tracked during the event keeps its bonuses even if you review it after the event has ended. Packed Portions Cooking Week uses the same event window across every research area, so the major strategic difference comes from each island’s boosted encounter pool.

Cooking pot size and dish Strength bonuses

The most visible Packed Portions Cooking Week bonus is the cooking pot. Capacity is doubled on normal event days and quadrupled on Sunday. That creates much larger recipe opportunities than an ordinary week, especially if your ingredient storage and helper output can support the extra slots instead of leaving the expanded pot half empty.

Final dish Strength is also multiplied by 1.25 for ordinary dishes, 2.5 for Extra Tasty dishes and 3.75 for Extra Tasty dishes on Sunday. Sunday is therefore the peak cooking day, but the best result still comes from a recipe you can actually sustain. Hoarding ingredients without a plan can leave you with a huge pot and the wrong mix of materials. The larger pot is one of the strongest Packed Portions Cooking Week tools because it lets prepared players convert stored ingredients into substantially bigger dishes.

Ingredient specialists get two separate boosts

Ingredient-specialty helpers sit at the centre of Packed Portions Cooking Week. Each time one of those Pokémon brings ingredients through regular gathering, it brings one extra ingredient. Separately, the number of ingredients gathered by main skills is multiplied by 1.5. When a main skill has multiple effects, only the ingredient quantity receives that multiplier.

Those two bonuses reward teams that can keep useful recipes supplied throughout the week. They do not mean every Ingredient specialist is equally good on every island, so normal berry compatibility, skill value, ingredient spread and team balance still matter. The event amplifies a working team more effectively than it rescues a poorly matched one. Packed Portions Cooking Week therefore favours Ingredient specialists in both passive gathering and skill-based ingredient generation, which can compound over a full week.

Extra Energy from meals

Every dish during Packed Portions Cooking Week restores five additional Energy to your helper Pokémon. It is not the headline bonus, but it supports the same loop by helping active helpers stay productive while you are asking them to supply much larger pots. The extra recovery applies alongside the cooking changes rather than replacing normal Energy management.

Meal timing can therefore have slightly more value than usual. If your team is running low, feeding at a sensible point in the day can support both Snorlax Strength and helper uptime. There is no need to invent a complicated schedule solely for the extra five Energy, but it is worth remembering when several bonuses are already pushing your team harder. Extra meal Energy makes Packed Portions Cooking Week more forgiving when helper Energy would otherwise decline between sleep sessions.

Foongus, Amoonguss and the boosted Pokémon pool

Foongus and Amoonguss receive the greater appearance-rate boost during Packed Portions Cooking Week. Another 20 Ingredient-specialty Pokémon receive a slightly greater appearance rate, including Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Farfetch’d, Gastly, Pinsir, Ditto, Dratini, Wooper, Delibird, Mawile, Aron, Happiny, Spiritomb, Croagunk, Cutiefly, Cramorant, Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Cetoddle.

The exact pool changes by area. Foongus and Amoonguss are listed at Greengrass Isle, Lapis Lakeside, Amber Canyon, Greengrass Isle (Expert) and Cyan Beach (Expert), but not at every ordinary island. If one species is the reason you are playing the event, use the area-specific list rather than assuming a global boost means global availability. The species list is another reason Packed Portions Cooking Week should be planned around an island rather than treated as identical everywhere.

Mini Candy Boost is on by default

The limited-time Mini Candy Boost is also active during Packed Portions Cooking Week. It doubles the EXP gained from candies in exchange for four times the normal Dream Shard cost per candy, with a limit of 50 boosted candies per day. The feature is set to ON by default and can be toggled from the upper-right of the Level Up screen.

That default setting is worth checking before any casual level-up. The boost is excellent for a long-term helper when a faster level is worth the shard premium, but poor value when Dream Shards are already tight. The daily limit is permission to use up to 50 boosted candies, not a requirement to spend all 50. Packed Portions Cooking Week makes the levelling feature convenient, but the boosted EXP is still paid for with a four-times Dream Shard cost.

How to plan the week

A strong Packed Portions Cooking Week plan starts with the area, not the pot. Pick an island that contains the boosted Pokémon you want and where your team can still build useful Snorlax Strength. Then identify the recipes your Ingredient specialists can support consistently, leaving enough stock to take advantage of the larger Sunday opportunity.

Use Mini Candy Boost only on deliberate progression targets, and treat Foongus Incense from the paid bundles as optional rather than necessary. The event already gives you free appearance-rate increases and global cooking bonuses. The best week is one where each mechanic supports the same account goals instead of becoming a separate reason to spend resources. A good Packed Portions Cooking Week plan links the bigger pot, better ingredient flow and chosen encounter pool instead of maximising one bonus while neglecting the others.

What happens when the event ends

When Packed Portions Cooking Week finishes on October 12 at 3:59 a.m., the limited-time cooking, appearance and Candy Boost rules end with it. Pokémon Sleep specifically says Mini Candy Boost will no longer be available after the event. Future versions can also change its EXP, Dream Shard and daily-candy values.

The Cooking Week Bundles Vol. 3 shop window lasts until October 13 at 3:59 a.m., so it closes later than the event itself. That gives you a short period to decide whether a bundle still makes sense after seeing your actual Foongus results and resource use across the week.
