OSRS Fractured Archive Boss Order begins with the Archive Guardian and ends at Ocellus. Between those two mandatory fights, your group selects one boss from each of three pairs, so you fight five encounters per run rather than all eight possible encounters. The paired stages stay in a fixed order, but your group chooses which opponent to face.
If you’re trying to plan a first clear, the biggest decisions are which middle fights fit your weapons and where to save supplies. The Quartermaster becomes available after the third boss, and Jagex has confirmed that paired encounters have the same maximum contribution points. You can pick the fight you know best without losing a unique chance simply because of that choice.
OSRS Fractured Archive Boss Order: complete route table
| Order | Boss or choice | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Archive Guardian | Mandatory opener |
| 2 | Ezekiel or Bork and the Smorks | Choose either branch |
| 3 | Moia or Dreadnoth the Jellied | Choose either branch |
| After boss 3 | Quartermaster | Spend Supply Credits to replenish supplies |
| 4 | Dagon’hai Elder and monks or Xarth | Choose either branch |
| 5 | Ocellus | Mandatory final boss |
The route follows fixed stages rather than five randomly selected opponents. Each branch leads back to the atrium after you win the encounter, and then you choose from the next pair. You cannot skip the Archive Guardian, change the third boss into another second-stage option or enter the final encounter early.

Boss 1: Archive Guardian
The Archive Guardian begins the fight airborne, so Ranged, Magic or a halberd can reach it while it levitates. Depleting its shield brings it to the floor where regular melee becomes useful. Mushrooms and tendrils force the group to keep moving, and a later beam attack marks a player for a hit that teammates can share by positioning along its line.
The OSRS Fractured Archive Boss Order opens with a good test of whether your party can call hazards without abandoning damage entirely. The main raid guide explains how to enter and form a group if you’re still at the lobby.
Boss 2: Ezekiel or Bork and the Smorks
Ezekiel is an exercise in placement. The player who draws his attention should keep him faced away from the group, while everyone else attacks from behind. Flying swords need to be charged and directed into Ezekiel to stop him healing. His lightning attack also forces players to move instead of planting themselves in one safe tile.
Bork is paired with the Smorks, who sit in a cart and launch ranged, magical and cannonball attacks. Heavy cannonballs can be used to stun Bork, while the cart serves as cover from his huge stomps. Killing one side enrages the other, so a reliable kill order is more important than splitting everyone’s attacks at random. For the OSRS Fractured Archive Boss Order, groups learning how to use environmental cover may prefer this route; groups comfortable with coordinated sword angles may favour Ezekiel.
Boss 3: Moia or Dreadnoth the Jellied
The OSRS Fractured Archive Boss Order gives you Moia as one option. She summons undead binders that roam the ring and make standing still dangerous. Her usual attack is Ranged, but a blue projectile calls for Magic protection. The encounter also spreads an infection that makes clustering risky. A Venator bow can help control the binders, although they return during the fight.
Dreadnoth is slower, but sends out slams followed by Ranged projectiles and summons Jellies. Those adds drain Prayer, even when you’re protecting against their melee hits, so groups need a way to clear them. Freezes and multi-target weapons or spells help. Blood patches remain on the floor and should not become a place where people stand waiting for the next attack.
The OSRS Fractured Archive Boss Order puts the Quartermaster after this third fight. Plan which restoration supplies to buy before the last two encounters. Don’t spend as if Ocellus is already beaten: the finale can turn a seemingly healthy inventory into an empty one very quickly.
Boss 4: Dagon’hai trio or Xarth
The Dagon’hai encounter involves an Elder and two monks who work on a ritual. Keeping that ritual under control and coordinating attacks through shared-health sequences is the main group challenge. Xarth begins behind pillars, forcing players to hide from blasts; later, advancing corpses threaten to heal him unless your team stops them. Water and ice spells are useful tools against the corpses.
Jagex’s October 21 hotfix changed the Defence-reduction comparison. Xarth now has a cap that prevents lowering his Defence below 60% of its starting level, while the Dagon’hai trio can still be reduced to zero. Early first-day speed tests that relied on reducing Xarth to zero Defence are not a useful basis for the latest OSRS Fractured Archive Boss Order route.

OSRS Fractured Archive Boss Order: Ocellus is always last
Ocellus closes every OSRS Fractured Archive Boss Order route. The fight moves from corner-based tendrils and ranged or magical attacks to a portal-filled arena split into quadrants, then into a final series of sword and ground hazards. The group must react to the orange safe routes as quadrants become unusable. Saving enough Prayer and healing for this fight is more valuable than shaving a few seconds off the middle rooms.
On October 21, Jagex also fixed Ocellus phase-transition problems, an incorrectly hidden protection-prayer icon and an attack pattern that could start in the wrong place. Defence reductions no longer reset when he moves between quadrants in phase three. Older footage can therefore differ from what you see now.
OSRS Fractured Archive Boss Order: easiest first-clear choices
There isn’t a universally best route for every party. For the OSRS Fractured Archive Boss Order, choose a boss based on the team’s available weapons, ability to clear adds and willingness to coordinate. A setup with strong multi-target Magic may find the Jellies at Dreadnoth less awkward, while players already comfortable with pillars may prefer Xarth. Each paired room offers the same maximum contribution points, as Jagex confirmed at launch.
Check the Fractured Archive rewards guide before farming a particular item. The developer has not provided a complete unique drop-rate table, so picking a branch for a supposed secret better rate has no verified basis. For unexpected glitches during a run, the raid launch issues page tracks acknowledged problems.
After a clear, compare food and Prayer used in each optional room. If Dreadnoth’s Jellies or Xarth’s pillars are consuming most of your supplies, try the other doorway on your next OSRS Fractured Archive Boss Order run. Reaching Ocellus well-stocked can matter more than shaving seconds off a middle fight.
