Fortnite Reload Nitemare Two Quests ask you to defeat a Mark during The Hunt, hit players ten times with melee weapons and answer a Stalkbox phone. These three Fortnitemares 2026 challenges are live, but all of them must be completed on Nitemare Island in Reload.
You need Nitemare Island to complete these challenges. Finish one earlier Reload Nitemare quest to unlock Nitemare Two, then tackle the Hunt Mark, melee and Stalkbox objectives as the right opportunities appear.
All Fortnite Reload Nitemare Two Quests and rewards
The Fortnite Reload Nitemare Two Quests arrived in the October 16 event wave. You can find them in the Fortnitemares section of your Quests tab. Each contributes to the shared Jack-A-Nape reward tracker.
| Objective | Target | Reported reward |
|---|---|---|
| Defeat a Mark while The Hunt is active | 1 | 15,000 XP |
| Hit players with melee weapons | 10 hits | 15,000 XP |
| Pick up the phone at a Stalkbox | 1 | 15,000 XP |
The challenges are separate from the 12 Kado Thorne Reload quests. That progression track has its own rewards. The Fortnitemares quest overview covers the other Battle Royale and Horde Rush objectives.

How to unlock Fortnite Reload Nitemare Two Quests
If the Fortnite Reload Nitemare Two Quests are locked, complete any one Reload Nitemare One objective to clear the 0/1 prerequisite. The first batch involves landing at named Nitemare Island locations, dealing damage at Retail Ruin or Estranged Estate, and searching containers at Terror Turrets or Haunted Hamlet.
Queue for Ranked or Unranked Reload, then look at the island before dropping. Epic’s post-October 19 rotation contains Nitemare Island, Squid Grounds and Stranger Things in both playlists. Only Nitemare Island counts for these Halloween challenges. Our Reload map rotation guide covers the current selection.
Defeat a Mark while The Hunt is active
The first of the Fortnite Reload Nitemare Two Quests depends on a special modifier. When The Hunt activates on Nitemare Island, Kado Thorne assigns you an opposing player called a Mark. The game reveals their approximate area, not an exact permanent position.
Land, find a reliable weapon and enough shields, then move towards your Mark. You must eliminate the assigned target while the modifier is running. Regular eliminations in matches without The Hunt won’t finish this objective. If you load onto Nitemare Island but don’t get a Mark, keep playing normally or try another match; there is no known switch or code to start a Hunt yourself.
Epic’s v42.40 notes confirm that Hunt wins can now award additional gameplay items as well as Kado’s Siphon weapons. Exact activation percentages circulating from creator reports aren’t established by the official notes. The Reload Hunt guide explains the target indicator and rewards.
Hit players ten times with melee weapons
For the melee task in Fortnite Reload Nitemare Two Quests, look for a weapon that attacks at close range. Nitemare Island’s Halloween loot includes the Sideways Scythe and Ghost Face’s Last Call knife. An assault rifle, shotgun or Siphon pistol won’t count as a melee weapon simply because the shot lands at close range.
The requirement is ten hits, not ten eliminations. You can spread your progress across fights, making it safer to disengage than to chase an opponent while low on health. If you use Last Call, its primary fire slashes and the Aim input uses the Call Players ability to locate enemies. See the Last Call controls guide for inputs and the Siphon weapons guide for the separate ranged loot pool.
Where to pick up the Stalkbox phone
The last of the Fortnite Reload Nitemare Two Quests requires one Stalkbox interaction. A Stalkbox is a black telephone booth that grants Ghost Face’s Last Call. Listen for its ringing and watch for the flashing light as you explore.
Search built-up parts of Nitemare Island rather than looking for a normal chest. Walk up to a ringing booth and use the on-screen interaction prompt to answer the phone. You don’t have to eliminate anyone afterwards for this particular quest. A fixed 2026 Reload Stalkbox spawn map has not been verified, so focus on recognising the booth and its sound.

If the booth can’t be interacted with, confirm you’re in Reload on Nitemare Island and that the Nitemare Two group is unlocked. Another player may have used that booth first. After a successful interaction, check the quest counter; if it doesn’t move immediately, return to the lobby and check again before repeating the task.
Why aren’t my Fortnite Reload Nitemare Two Quests progressing?
The usual obstacle for Fortnite Reload Nitemare Two Quests is playing on the wrong island. Squid Grounds and Stranger Things share the Reload queue, but their similar Halloween weapons don’t make them eligible for the location-specific Nitemare quests. The Hunt objective also needs a real Mark, rather than an ordinary player elimination.
Check the Quests tab after the match, confirm that the objective is active, and try the relevant action in the correct mode. The three completed challenges contribute to the shared Fortnitemares count. The free Jack-A-Nape guide explains the 26-quest Outfit requirement and the Fortnitemares hub covers the rest of the Halloween event.
The Fortnite Reload Nitemare Two Quests must be completed before Fortnitemares ends on November 1. Check the precise expiry time in your in-game event tracker, especially if you’re in the UK after the October 25 daylight-saving change.
