The Monarch of Fangs Smash Event is a limited Solo Leveling: ARISE challenge running inside the new Beast’s Hunting Ground Workshop of Brilliant Light dungeon from September 17 to October 8. It lets players fight a special WANTED difficulty version of the Adan content without spending Workshop invitations, with better reward tiers available for clearing the challenge earlier.
The unusual part of the Monarch of Fangs Smash Event is its weekly structure. The challenge becomes easier as the event moves from Week 1 to Week 3, but the cosmetic reward package also shrinks. That gives highly prepared players a reason to push immediately while still leaving a lower difficulty route for players who need more time.
Monarch of Fangs Smash Event dates and weekly difficulty

The Monarch of Fangs Smash Event begins after maintenance on September 17 and is split into three one week periods. Week 1 ends on September 24 at 00:00 UTC, Week 2 ends on October 1 at 00:00 UTC, and Week 3 ends on October 8 at 00:00 UTC. Each new week reduces the difficulty and also reduces the top reward tier.
| Week | Dates | Difficulty | Headline cosmetic rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | September 17 to September 24 | Highest | Background, icon, frame, Beastmaster Cosmetic Chest, two Chroma Chests |
| Week 2 | September 24 to October 1 | Reduced | Background, icon, frame, Beastmaster Cosmetic Chest, one Chroma Chest |
| Week 3 | October 1 to October 8 | Lowest | Background, icon, Beastmaster Cosmetic Chest |
Because the Monarch of Fangs Smash Event reward is once per account, you cannot collect the Week 1 package and then claim another duplicate reward by clearing a later weekly version. The weekly ladder is effectively a choice of when you can complete the challenge, with earlier clears receiving the larger cosmetic set.
How to enter the Monarch of Fangs Smash Event
To enter the Monarch of Fangs Smash Event, open Workshop of Brilliant Light during the event and select the Monarch of Fangs Smash Event from Beast’s Hunting Ground. The special challenge does not consume Workshop of Brilliant Light Invitations. It also cannot be played simultaneously with another stage, so you need to enter it as its own activity.
This makes the WANTED challenge much easier to slot around normal Workshop progression than an invitation based event would be. You can continue using your invitations on the standard Beast’s Hunting Ground season and attempt the WANTED challenge separately, without sacrificing a normal Workshop entry just to test the event difficulty.
All Monarch of Fangs Smash Event rewards
The weekly clear rewards for the Monarch of Fangs Smash Event are focused on profile decorations and Beastmaster cosmetics. Week 1 offers the Profile Background, Profile Icon, Profile Frame, Beastmaster Cosmetic Chest and two Beastmaster Chroma Chests. Week 2 keeps the frame but drops to one Chroma Chest, while Week 3 removes the frame and Chroma Chest from the listed bundle.
The final stage clear is delivered to your Inventory in Sung Jinwoo Mode. Netmarble also notes that the skin chest rewards will automatically open after the October update. That timing is worth remembering if you complete the event and do not immediately see the final costume contents behaving like a normal selectable chest.
Monarch of Fangs Smash Event completion rewards
In addition to the weekly cosmetic package, the Monarch of Fangs Smash Event has a Smash Complete reward bundle. It contains 30 Marks of Time I, 30 Marks of Time II, 20 Custom Draw Tickets, 1,000,000 Gold and 1,000 Mana-imbued Fabric. These are separate from the profile and Beastmaster items listed for the weekly difficulty tier.
- Marks of Time I x30
- Marks of Time II x30
- Custom Draw Ticket x20
- Gold x1,000,000
- Mana-imbued Fabric x1,000
After the Monarch of Fangs Smash Event ends, clear rewards are distributed through the Mailbox to all Hunters who earned them. The once per account rule still applies, so clearing a later week after already receiving the event reward does not create another set of the same items.
Should you clear the Monarch of Fangs Smash Event in Week 1?
If your account can handle the first version, Week 1 gives the largest listed cosmetic package from the Monarch of Fangs Smash Event. Waiting makes the encounter easier, but the rewards step down with it. That tradeoff is built into the event, so there is no penalty in invitations for testing the early version and seeing whether your current team can complete it.
The event is also separate from the new Adan Remnant Power unlock. That power comes from clearing Stage 1 of the normal Beast’s Hunting Ground Workshop, not from the Monarch of Fangs Smash Event. You can therefore secure the permanent progression unlock first and then use the event as a time limited target. Full event conditions are listed in Netmarble’s official Monarch of Fangs event notice.
