Modern Warfare 4 maps will include 12 Core 6v6 maps at launch, with Cachette, Lithium, Lotus, Rooftops, Silkworm and Transit 213 already playable in the beta. Kill Block sits alongside them as a modular Gunfight facility, while Imjin Farmlands and Wolves Stadium cover the larger Combat Outpost side of Multiplayer.
The confirmed pool already moves between compact interiors, longer lanes, rooftops, industrial spaces and large vehicle friendly areas. That variety is exactly why keeping several genuinely different custom classes will be more useful than searching for one universal launch loadout.

Modern Warfare 4 maps: Cachette: Core 6v6
Cachette is a secret hideout beside a French rail terminal with containers, rooftops, cobblestone streets and compact interiors. Backlot, Central Containers and Front Gate are important routes for explosive pressure. Containers and rooftops create useful elevated flanks. Those details make it easier to decide which weapon range and movement style the map is likely to reward.
Lithium: Core 6v6
Lithium is a damaged lithium processing facility in rural Mexico built around industrial spaces and strong mid-range sightlines. Assault Rifles, LMGs and Marksman Rifles fit the dominant mid-range fights. Interactive garage doors can be partly shut and slid under. Those details make it easier to decide which weapon range and movement style the map is likely to reward.
Modern Warfare 4 maps: Lotus: Core 6v6
Lotus is a battle-scarred Korean fishing village mixing narrow streets, interiors and longer views along its main route. Overkill is useful because the map swings between open and tight spaces. A pipe by the Boathouse reaches the lower roof and second floor. Those details make it easier to decide which weapon range and movement style the map is likely to reward.
Rooftops: Core 6v6
Rooftops is the snow-covered rooftops of New York’s Hotel Times West with elevated walkways and compact interiors. The Catwalk creates a lower route on the east side of Construction. The open sky makes launchers useful against aerial streaks. Those details make it easier to decide which weapon range and movement style the map is likely to reward.
Modern Warfare 4 maps: Silkworm: Core 6v6
Silkworm is a dense South Korean shopping district with storefronts, alleys, apartments and a subway entrance. The map keeps combat mostly at street level. Fast ADS and handling are valuable in the short alley and storefront fights. Those details make it easier to decide which weapon range and movement style the map is likely to reward.
Modern Warfare 4 maps: Transit 213: Core 6v6
Transit 213 is an overgrown western India bus depot where rusting buses split the battlefield into tight lanes and long centre sightlines. Equipment is powerful because of the compact lanes and buses. The Center Lot buses offer concealment but attract grenades and rushes. Those details make it easier to decide which weapon range and movement style the map is likely to reward.
Modern Warfare 4 maps: Kill Block: Gunfight
Kill Block is a modular West Bridge training facility that rebuilds itself from three Slabs into more than 500 possible configurations. Gunfight supports 3v3 and 10v10 variants. The layout changes every two rounds during Gunfight. Those details make it easier to decide which weapon range and movement style the map is likely to reward.
Imjin Farmlands: Combat Outpost
Imjin Farmlands is a large Ground War battleground across rural Hajin with fields, waterways, farms, roads, rail lines and a dominant mill. The mill is a major high-ground position. Flat terrain makes vehicles powerful and gives launchers clear shots. Those details make it easier to decide which weapon range and movement style the map is likely to reward.
Modern Warfare 4 maps: Wolves Stadium: Combat Outpost
Wolves Stadium is a large Ground War space built around a Korean stadium district with dense urban routes and defensible points. The amphitheater is difficult for vehicles to penetrate. Ascenders, ladders and pipes create fast routes to rooftops and high ground. Those details make it easier to decide which weapon range and movement style the map is likely to reward.
Modern Warfare 4 maps: How to Learn the Pool
Learn one map at a time and keep the first goal small. One dependable route, one dangerous lane and one useful piece of vertical movement are enough for the opening matches. Add callouts and less obvious flanks once you are no longer getting lost between spawn and the objective.
What Is Still Unannounced
The six Core beta maps are only half of the 12 map launch roster, and Activision also says two favourites will arrive shortly after launch. There is already enough real map information to prepare with, so the unrevealed names can stay unrevealed until Infinity Ward publishes them.
Modern Warfare 4 maps: What to Look for on an Unfamiliar Map
On any new launch map, identify three things first: the fastest route into the main fight, the longest exposed sightline and the pieces of vertical movement that bypass the obvious ground route. Those three features explain most early deaths long before every callout and spawn trap has been learned.
