The Modern Warfare 4 Beta end date depends on which beta weekend you are playing. Pre-Order Early Access ends on August 25, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. PT, while the free Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta ends on September 1 at 10:00 a.m. PT.
Activision has confirmed two separate Modern Warfare 4 beta periods. Early Access begins on August 21 for eligible pre-order players, before the beta returns on August 28 for a second weekend that is open to everyone on supported platforms.
Modern Warfare 4 Beta End Date and Time
The Modern Warfare 4 Beta end date schedule is:
| Beta period | Start | End |

| Open Beta | August 28 at 10:00 a.m. PT | September 1 at 10:00 a.m. PT |
The two beta periods do not run continuously. Early Access closes on August 25, followed by a break before the free Open Beta begins on August 28.
When Does Modern Warfare 4 Beta Early Access End?
The first Modern Warfare 4 Beta end date is Monday, August 25.
Pre-Order Early Access ends at 10:00 a.m. PT.
That converts to:

| US Eastern | 1:00 p.m. ET |
| UK | 6:00 p.m. BST |
| Central Europe | 7:00 p.m. CEST |
Players using Early Access therefore have from August 21 at 11:00 a.m. PT until August 25 at 10:00 a.m. PT to play during the first beta period.
After that deadline, the beta closes temporarily before Weekend Two begins.
When Does the Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta End?

The free Open Beta ends at 10:00 a.m. PT.
For UK players, that is 6:00 p.m. BST on September 1.

| US Pacific | 10:00 a.m. PT |
| US Eastern | 1:00 p.m. ET |
| UK | 6:00 p.m. BST |

Is There a Break Between the Modern Warfare 4 Beta Weekends?
Yes.
There is a gap between the first Modern Warfare 4 Beta end date and the beginning of the Open Beta.
Early Access ends on August 25 at 10:00 a.m. PT.
The Open Beta then begins on August 28 at 10:00 a.m. PT.
Players who participated in Early Access will therefore be unable to continue playing the beta during the period between the two weekends.
Who Can Play Before the First Modern Warfare 4 Beta End Date?
The August 21 to August 25 Early Access period is available to eligible players who pre-order Modern Warfare 4 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S or PC.
Digital pre-orders through supported storefronts are automatically registered.
Eligible physical pre-orders from participating retailers instead use an Early Access Beta code.
Nintendo Switch 2 is not part of the first weekend.
Switch 2 joins the beta when the free Open Beta begins on August 28.
Who Can Play Until the Final Modern Warfare 4 Beta End Date?
Weekend Two is open to all players on supported platforms.
A Modern Warfare 4 pre-order is not required.
The Open Beta supports PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
That means players who skip Early Access can still play from August 28 until the final Modern Warfare 4 Beta end date on September 1.
Activision states that an internet connection is required and that an online multiplayer subscription may be required depending on the platform.
What Is Included in the Modern Warfare 4 Beta?
The Modern Warfare 4 beta includes multiplayer gameplay across multiple maps and modes.
Activision has confirmed core 6v6 gameplay and Kill Block as part of the beta.
The beta also includes the single-player Campaign mission Entrenched.
Weekend Two expands the available content further with Ground War: Combat Outpost and the new Zodiac Resurgence map in Call of Duty: Warzone.
Players can also earn beta rewards. Once unlocked, these rewards can be used during the beta and will carry into Modern Warfare 4 when the full game launches.
Does Modern Warfare 4 Release After the Beta?
Yes.
The beta is a pre-release test rather than the launch of the full game.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 releases on October 23, 2026.
The final Modern Warfare 4 Beta end date is September 1, leaving a gap between the end of the beta and the full October release.
Activision states that the beta is being used to gather player feedback ahead of launch.
When Is the Last Chance to Play the Modern Warfare 4 Beta?
The final opportunity to play is during the Open Beta ending September 1 at 10:00 a.m. PT.
Players do not need to have participated in Early Access and do not need to pre-order Modern Warfare 4 to join the second weekend.
The key Modern Warfare 4 Beta end date to remember is therefore September 1 at 10:00 a.m. PT, or 6:00 p.m. BST in the UK.
Early Access players have an earlier deadline on August 25, but everyone can return when the free Open Beta begins August 28.
