Swampert is a Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It evolves from Marshtomp and is the final form of Mudkip which is one of the starter Pokémons in Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire and Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire

In this article, we will discuss the Pokémon’s strengths and weaknesses, stats, and recommended moveset.

Swampert Strengths and Weaknesses

As Swampert is Ground and Water type, it is strong against Electric, Steel, Fire, Poison, and Rock types.

On the other hand, it is notably vulnerable against Grass type since both Ground and Water types are weak against it.

Therefore, Pokémons such as Venausaur and Tangrowth are some of the many Pokémons that can deal a huge damage against it.

Swampert Recommended Moveset

We strongly recommend the fast move Mud Shot and the Legacy charge move Hydro Cannon

Water Gun is also a good fast move, and both Water Gun and Mud Shot will give a same-type attack bonus (STAB). However, Mud Shot generates more energy per second.

On the other hand, Hydro Cannon syncs well with Mud Shot. It is an extremely good Water-type move that can make this Pokémon a total beast.

For the complete set of Swampert’s Fast and Charge moves, please see the list below:

Fast moves

  • Mud Shot (Ground-type)
  • Water Gun (Water-type)

Charge moves

  • Earthquake (Ground-type)
  • Sludge Wave (Poison-type)
  • Surf (Water-type)
  • Muddy Water (Water-type)
  • Hydro Cannon (Water-type)

Like Mudkip and Marshtomp, Swampert is an amphibious quadruped Pokémon and resembles an axolotl and a mudskipper combined.
