MM2 Emberscythe is the Ancient Knife you craft at the Halloween Cauldron in Murder Mystery 2. It requires two specific event weapons: Emberbow, the Ancient Gun from Tier 30 of the Halloween Battle Pass, and Embersickle, the Godly Knife found in the 2026 Halloween Box.
That makes Emberscythe the final prize of two separate grinds, not a weapon you can simply buy for a fixed number of Candies. The Cauldron is hidden in the Retro Halloween lobby, and the game also has a rarer Chroma result. Here’s the exact pair of items you need and where to take them.
What do you need for MM2 Emberscythe?
Gather one Emberbow and one Embersickle before approaching the Cauldron. The weapon rarities are different, and neither the Emberknife nor the Legendary Embergun is a substitute. The following table shows which event system rewards each crafting ingredient.
| Ingredient | Weapon | How to obtain |
|---|---|---|
| Emberbow | Ancient Gun | Tier 30 of Halloween Battle Pass, 100,000-Candy final reward |
| Embersickle | Godly Knife | 2026 Halloween Box, 600 Candies or one Halloween Key per opening |
| Crafting station | Cauldron | Behind the event NPC in the Retro Halloween lobby |
The MM2 Emberscythe recipe is separate from the normal trading interface and ordinary box openings. Having both weapons in your inventory is the key requirement. You won’t receive the Ancient Knife automatically when you open the box or unlock Emberbow.
Where is the Halloween Cauldron?
Enter a server running the October 2026 Retro Halloween event. In the smaller witch-themed seasonal lobby, look towards the buildings on the left-hand side. The Cauldron sits behind the event NPC, near the front of that building area.
Walk up to the Cauldron and interact with its crafting interface. With the two required weapons available, look for the MM2 Emberscythe recipe and inspect the confirmation before starting it. The appearance of the Cauldron may be easy to miss if you’re looking for a separate crafting room or an NPC inside a map.
How to get Emberbow for the recipe
Emberbow is an Ancient Gun at the very end of the thirty-level Halloween Battle Pass. The final unlock costs 100,000 Candies, but earlier tiers also have their own prices. You earn Candy by collecting it during rounds and completing seasonal Daily Quests.
For MM2 Emberscythe, make Emberbow your main savings target if you’re starting from scratch. Spending hundreds of Candies on each box before reaching the final Pass reward makes the guaranteed ingredient take longer to obtain. Our Emberbow guide explains the Pass and its disputed full completion total.
How to get Embersickle for the recipe
Embersickle comes from the seasonal Halloween Box 2026, costing 600 Candies or one Halloween Key to open. This is a random chance, unlike Emberbow’s set Pass cost. The box also contains a Chroma Embersickle, but neither the developer’s public listing nor the game description establishes a guaranteed Godly drop after a certain number of attempts.
The MM2 Emberscythe goal can be approached with keys from the Battle Pass, which contains thirteen Halloween Keys. They let you open the same box without spending additional Candies. For the complete twelve-weapon pool, read the Halloween Box guide.
Does crafting consume Emberbow and Embersickle?
The Cauldron combines one Emberbow and one Embersickle into an Emberscythe. The two weapons are crafting materials, so plan to replace them if you want to own the original gun and knife as well. The event allows additional crafts when you have another pair of ingredients, but each attempt needs its own Emberbow and Embersickle. Check the confirmation screen before accepting the exchange.
In particular, there is no verified additional Candy price for the MM2 Emberscythe recipe. The expensive part is acquiring the two weapons. If you obtained one through trading, confirm the exact weapon name and that it is eligible in the Cauldron before committing it.
MM2 Emberscythe: Chroma crafting
The Halloween Cauldron has a rare Chroma Emberscythe outcome, which changes the weapon’s colour appearance. That doesn’t mean a player who owns a Chroma Emberbow or Chroma Embersickle is automatically guaranteed the Chroma craft, and no official precise odds have been published.
For MM2 Emberscythe hunters, treat the normal Ancient as the reward you’re crafting towards. There is no guaranteed number of attempts after which the Chroma version must appear, and attempting repeated crafts requires reacquiring the ingredient weapons.
When can you craft the Ancient Knife?
The Halloween event is scheduled to finish November 16, 2026 at 6 PM GMT. The limited-time Cauldron is part of that event, so finish the recipe before the seasonal lobby changes. Once the event ends, trading with players who already own Emberscythe may be the remaining acquisition route.
