How to Get Wages of Stars in Guild Wars 2: collect Fledgling Constellation, Gift of the Tenebral Ward, Gift of Reality and Mystic Tribute, then combine them in the Mystic Forge. The recipe became available with Code of Creation on 15 September 2026.
The final combine is straightforward. Getting the ingredients takes story progress, Leyspring Hollows exploration, two equipment collections and legendary crafting materials. Here’s where each item comes from.
How to Get Wages of Stars in Guild Wars 2: the four Mystic Forge ingredients

| Ingredient | Main requirement |
|---|---|
| Fledgling Constellation | Complete So Be It story achievement |
| Gift of Reality | Gather Leyspring Hollows and Mists components |
| Gift of the Tenebral Ward | Finish Shining Ward weapons and Tenebral Ward armour collections |
| Mystic Tribute | Legendary condensed gifts, Mystic Clovers and Mystic Coins |
You’ll need one of each ingredient for the final forge combination. Our complete Wages of Stars crafting article covers the full materials process, while the steps below explain where each of the four key components comes from.
Where to get Fledgling Constellation
Complete So Be It, a story achievement in the Code of Creation finale, to earn Fledgling Constellation. This is the sword’s precursor, not a random drop you have to farm from ordinary enemies.
Finish this story step first so you have the precursor ready before spending gold on the more expensive gifts.
How to Get Wages of Stars in Guild Wars 2: Gift of Reality
Gift of Reality requires Gift of the Mists, Mists Scrying Mirror, Gift of Leyspring Hollows Exploration and an Advanced Research Data Crystal. Exchange them with Acolyte of Balance Dexx in Leyspring Hollows to obtain the gift.
Complete the Leyspring Hollows map for the exploration gift and its mastery achievement for the Scrying Mirror. Buy the Advanced Research Data Crystal from Dexx for 500 Shadowstone Research Data. Gift of the Mists uses Gift of Battle, Gift of Glory, Gift of War and a Cube of Stabilized Dark Energy.
Use our Leyspring Hollows map guide while completing the exploration requirement.
Gift of the Tenebral Ward: weapons and armour
This gift requires Gift of Shining Arms, Gift of Tenebral Armor, Banner of the Tenebral Ward and 100 Seer Runestones. It is the collection-heavy part of the sword.
Unlock all 17 Shining Ward weapon skins for Gift of Shining Arms and all six Tenebral Ward armour skins for Gift of Tenebral Armor. Check your collection progress before spending more currency on either set.
The banner and runestones bring further costs, including Research Notes, Ectoplasm, karma and Shadowstone resources. Check what you already have before purchasing the remaining pieces.
How to Get Wages of Stars in Guild Wars 2: Mystic Tribute
The Mystic Tribute combine takes two Gifts of Condensed Magic, two Gifts of Condensed Might, 77 Mystic Clovers and 250 Mystic Coins. The two condensed gift types each require their own component materials, so these aren’t the only raw supplies in the legendary project.
If you have a stash of coins or clovers from earlier legendary crafting, check it before buying more. This part can progress alongside the account-bound story and collection achievements.
How to Get Wages of Stars in Guild Wars 2: best crafting order
Start by completing So Be It and finishing the map. Work towards the Leyspring Hollows mastery rewards while collecting the 17 weapon skins and six armour pieces. After you’ve completed those gates, focus on remaining currencies and the Mystic Tribute.
Once you’ve gathered Fledgling Constellation, Gift of Reality, Gift of the Tenebral Ward and Mystic Tribute, combine them in the Mystic Forge. The recipe has been available since September.
