Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update Part 1 launched on October 15, 2026 at 7:00 AM BST as free Update 1.72. It adds six cars, Sportsland SUGO, six World Circuits races and three new Café Extra Menus. Brand Central also gains Vintage, Car Concierge and Experience, while the Collector Level cap rises from 70 to 90.
The update is split into October and December instalments, and the October half is much more than a car pack. If you’re returning to the game, you’ll have new cars to collect, higher levels to reach, older cars to order and extra races at SUGO and three other venues. This guide covers the October content using Polyphony Digital’s published 1.72 notes.
Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update 1.72 release date and main additions

The October Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update was scheduled for Thursday, October 15 at 7 AM BST (October 14 at 11 PM PDT). Once Update 1.72 is installed, the new cars, SUGO circuit, Café menus and Brand Central changes are part of the game. Autumn Ring and the other Part 2 systems aren’t in this release.
All six new cars in the Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update
The six additions cover a French classic, a 1990s Ferrari, a historic Honda racer, a modern Honda people carrier, a new Mazda Gr.3 model and Xiaomi’s Vision Gran Turismo. Polyphony lists the following official names and sales locations in the October patch notice:
| Car | Where sold in the English patch notice |
|---|---|
| Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston ’86 | Used Cars |
| Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ’94 | Used Cars |
| Honda Civic Si Group A version ’87 | Used Cars |
| Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line ’23 | Brand Central |
| MAZDA RX-VISION GT3 EVO ’26 | Brand Central |
| Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo | Brand Central |
The English notice names Used Cars for the Group A Civic, while some players report it appearing in Legend Cars. Check the live dealership rather than spending time refreshing the wrong shop. The Spec IV cars guide covers the models in more detail.
Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update: Sportsland SUGO track specifications

The Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update introduces SUGO International Racing Course in Miyagi, Japan. The track is 3,586m long with 13 corners, an elevation difference of 69.83m and a 704.5m longest straight. The final turn has a gradient of up to 10%, making the exit onto the straight particularly demanding.
SUGO isn’t the same as Autumn Ring, which is reserved for December’s second update. The Sportsland SUGO guide covers the circuit and its new events.
Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update: all six World Circuits events
Six events join World Circuits in Update 1.72. Three take place at SUGO, with the others at Autopolis, Spa-Francorchamps and Dragon Trail. Here’s the full event list and circuit pairing published by Polyphony:
| Event | Circuit |
|---|---|
| Sunday Cup | Autopolis International Racing Course – Short Course |
| European Sunday Cup 400 | SUGO International Racing Course |
| Vision Gran Turismo Trophy | Spa-Francorchamps |
| European Clubman Cup 600 | Dragon Trail – Seaside Reverse |
| World Touring Car 600 | SUGO International Racing Course |
| World Touring Car 800 | SUGO International Racing Course |
Open World Circuits and select the named circuit to find the new event. The official launch notes confirm the six pairings but not an exhaustive list of Credit rewards, lap counts and vehicle restrictions for every race. Those specifics are visible on the in-game event cards.
Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update: Collector Level 90 and Extra Menus 55–57
The maximum Collector Level rises from 70 to 90. Three new collections appear under Café → Extra Menus after you have completed Menu Book 39: Championship: World GT Series and watched the ending. Each has its own Collector Level requirement.
| Extra Menu | Collection | Collector Level requirement |
|---|---|---|
| 55 | High-Performance EVs | 75 in the October 14 overview; 70 in the October 15 patch notice |
| 56 | Tuned GT-Rs | 80 |
| 57 | Le Mans Winners | 90 |
Menu 55 has conflicting official requirements. Polyphony’s October 14 Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update overview states Level 75, but its October 15 Update Notice (1.72) states Level 70. Check the unlock level shown in the Café before buying cars for that collection. Menus 56 and 57 consistently require Levels 80 and 90 respectively.
Neither announcement includes a complete required-car list and reward breakdown for all three menus. The collection names alone aren’t enough to identify every specific car, so don’t spend Credits on a guessed shopping list. The Café card shows the vehicles you still need for each collection.
Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update: Vintage and Car Concierge in Brand Central
Vintage is a section within Brand Central showcasing cars from 2000 and earlier. It links directly to Used Cars and Legend Cars, which still handle their own sales. Vintage isn’t a new standalone dealership on the World Map.
Car Concierge is accessed through Vintage after reaching the game’s ending. You can request a car by model, colour and condition, and the service searches for a match. The maximum is four simultaneous orders, with the number of available slots depending on Collector Level. Polyphony hasn’t published the exact slot thresholds or a fixed search time.
See the Car Concierge unlock and ordering guide and Brand Central Vintage guide for the menu paths and how those services differ from the rotating dealerships.
Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update: Experience, Car Viewer and Scapes
Experience introduces brand-based driving challenges in Brand Central for Xiaomi, Yangwang, Hyundai and Polestar. These are four confirmed launch manufacturers. Polyphony describes record-setting challenges, though the official article doesn’t spell out every task or its reward. Our Experience Mode guide covers the supported brands and where to find the feature.
Car Viewer is in the Garage and lets you inspect the current car from different angles, switch backgrounds, turn the front wheels and toggle the lights. The opening cinematic has been refreshed. Two featured Scapes curations are also added: Angeles Crest Highway and Sportsland SUGO.
What is coming after the Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update Part 1 release?
Part 2 is still planned for December 2026. Polyphony’s roadmap puts Autumn Ring, Family Mode, Shuffle Race, Online Drift Trial and additional features in that second instalment. Players should not expect to find those activities in the October 1.72 update.
With the Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update installed, the most straightforward places to start are the six new World Circuits races and the four Experience manufacturers. Collectors can check the Café for newly unlocked Extra Menus and use Vintage to find older models without waiting on the normal dealer browsing routine.
