Goldeneye Remastered achievements have been revealed

Goldeneye 007 is one of the most beloved video games of all time, with it first releasing back in 1997 on the Nintendo 64, quickly becoming one of the most popular games on the system.

Over the years, fans have begged for a port and remaster of the game but it has largely fallen on deaf ears due to licensing issues.

But, a few years ago news did surface that Microsoft had developed a remaster of the game to be released on Xbox Live Arcade on the Xbox 360, but it was ultimately canceled despite being 90% complete.

This got leaked last year and is downloadable and playable using an Xbox 360 emulator, but it can be incredibly annoying to get working and it crashes a lot.

The good news is, that fans of the game won’t need to do that for much longer as it looks like an official release is on the horizon. Microsoft posted the official achievement list on its Xbox website complete with artwork, which confirms that it is in development.

We have reported on Goldeneye and these achievements numerous times over the recent months, with the list being leaked on True Achievements with Xbox employees having some of them unlocked on their accounts.

Microsoft has now removed the achievements from its website, but that didn’t stop people from grabbing screenshots of the achievement artwork, and it does confirm that our own Goldeneye achievement guide is accurate and the full list can be found here.

No leaks have revealed a potential release date for Goldeneye 007 Remastered, but with Xbox’s next presentation taking place on June 12th, it is possible that it will be announced then and could be released immediately.

Due to the game being developed by Microsoft, Goldeneye 007 Remastered will come to Game Pass on day one. We know the game will definitely be coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, but we’re unsure whether it will make its way to PC, although we hope it will.

Goldeneye 007 Remastered should also feature online play both offline and online as the original XBLA version was to include these features. No Oddjob!
