Halo MCC CE: Where is the Boom Skull in the second mission?

The Boom skull is located in the Second mission, simply titled “Halo” of Halo CE in MCC, but where exactly is this skull to be found?
Unlike the Mythic skull also in this level, the Halo CE Boom skull is located a fair distance away from the path you would normally take through the level, in a rather sneaky hiding location.
Where is the Boom skull in MCC Halo CE?
To find the Boom skull, you’ll need to load up the second mission, Halo, in Halo MCC CE. As this mission is a bit longer than the first, and there are two skulls to find in this one, you might want to choose a lower difficulty to make it easy to grab them both faster.
Due to the nature of this level, that being fairly lengthy at least compared to the first, you might want to grab all the collectables you can while on the mission. You can find our guides for the Mythic Skull and the 2nd mission terminal at the respective links, which I’d recommend also using to avoid missing out and having to re-do the level later.
You may also want to take a crack at the No-Fly Zone achievement while you’re here, which involves destroying most of the 4 banshees present in this level.
Anyway, you’ll want to progress the level up to the first encounter with marines – fend off the covenant (or don’t). When you typically get a Warthog drop off, you’re close to the area with the skull.
Find the ramp pictured below, this is the one that leads to the area with the infamous “this cave is not a natural formation” line – though rather then go through the tunnel, we need to take a different path.
You’ll want to instead find an area you can climb up the side of the ridge above where you would typically continue the level by going through the cave. Once you’re on there, follow the ledge along until you spot this pair of trees. Continue forwards, though be careful not to walk too far left or you might fall down.
Near these trees is the location of our Skull, and thus your chance to grab Boom for yourself in Halo MCC CE.

Is there anything else?
That’s all there is to finding the Boom Skull. A bit more well hidden than Mythic and Iron before it, but still nothing too hard to find so far. Of course, the rest of the campaign may have some worse surprises for us, later.
