Halo MCC CE: Where is the Mythic Skull in the second mission?

The Mythic skull is located in the Second mission, simply titled “Halo” of Halo CE in MCC, but where exactly is this skull to be found?

Unlike the Boom skull also in this level, the Halo CE Mythic skull is located very close to the start of the mission, it’s simply off to the side where you might not think to look.

Where is the Mythic skull in MCC Halo CE?

To find the Mythic skull, you’ll need to load up the second mission, Halo, in Halo MCC CE. As this mission is a bit longer than the first, and there are two skulls to find in this one, you might want to choose a lower difficulty to make it easy to grab them both faster.

Due to the nature of this level, that being fairly lengthy at least compared to the first, you might want to grab all the collectables you can while on the mission. You can find our guides for the Boom Skull and the 2nd mission terminal at the respective links, which I’d recommend also using to avoid missing out and having to re-do the level later.

From the spawn point, you’ll find yourself in a crashed life pod. Walk straight out of it and you should be able to see a view similar to our image below. To the right-hand side of this view is a waterfall, which you’ll now want to head over to if you’re after the Mythic Skull.

Continue in that direction until you reach near the base of the waterfall. It’s not a particularly long walk, and you’re almost at the Mythic skull already at this point. Walk to the large rock shown around the centre of the screenshot below.

Hidden behind this rock is the location of the Mythic skull, shown below.

Simply walk over it to collect it now, and you’ll get the achievement if you don’t already have it.
