Genshin Impact: Leak says Baizhu is a shielder, not a healer
Last Updated on: 3rd February 2023, 01:44 am
Baizhu is one of the earliest known Dendro characters in Genshin Impact. However, even after the release of Sumeru and the Dendro element in Version 3.0, he still remains unplayable.
An earlier leak mentioned that he would likely be released in Version 3.4 in time for the Lantern Rite Festival, but it was later speculated that he would be released in Version 3.6 instead. Well, the former leak is obviously incorrect, as he has not been officially announced to have a banner in Version 3.4.
With this, fans can only hope for Version 3.6 to be the earliest possible time for Baizhu to become available. However, while it was previously said that he’s a Dendro healer, a new leak says Baizhu is a shielder.

New leak says Baizhu is a shielder
A new leak has dismissed the earlier speculation that the upcoming playable Dendro character Baizhu would provide healing for the party. This was posted by user u/_FarronDS_ on the Genshin Impact Leaks Subreddit and was reportedly from leaker Drak.
According to the leak, Baizhu is a shielder. Moreover, the leak mentioned that he has a coordinated attack and converts the ATK stat into Elemental Mastery (EM). With this, Baizhu will most likely be an off-field unit.
On the other hand, other details about the upcoming character remain true, including his weapon type, which was previously leaked to be the Catalyst, and his rarity, which is most likely 5 stars.
If this turns out to be true, Baizhu will be the first Dendro shielder in the game. However, it is important to remember that this is only a leak and should be taken with a grain of salt. How about you? Do you think Baizhu is a shielder?
