Genshin Impact Version 3.4 Countdown: Release Date, Maintenance Schedule, and Banners

With two new characters to be added to Genshin Impact‘s roster soon, Version 3.4 is an exciting time for players, especially those waiting for the heavily popular Alhaitham and the long-awaited Yaoyao!
Not only that, but the next version will also bring a new desert area, which is home to a new Boss and a new Sumeru Local Specialty. This new area also means more chests to open, Dendro sigils to collect, and more Dendroculi for Sumeru’s Statue of the Seven.
However, when exactly can we expect all this exciting content? Here’s everything that you need to know.

Genshin Impact Version 3.4 Maintenance Schedule and Release Date
Genshin Impact Version 3.4 is expected to be live on January 18, 2023. However, it will only be live after the maintenance, which will take about five (5) hours long. This maintenance will begin on the same date, January 18, 2023, at 7:00 AM (UTC + 8 or Beijing Time). This means it’s about 24 hours before the next update maintenance begins.
It is important to note that, unlike other in-version updates, the update for Version 3.4 will be released simultaneously across all servers. To know what time the maintenance starts in your region, check out the table below:

Genshin Impact Version 3.4 Banners and Other Updates
As mentioned earlier, Version 3.4 will bring two new characters. These are the 5-star character Alhaitham and the 4-star character Yaoyao. While both are Dendro characters, their roles are significantly different. Alhaitham is expected to be a Dendro DPS, while Yaoyao is a support/healer.
These two characters are scheduled to arrive in Version 3.4’s first phase, with the 5-star Anemo character Xiao’s rerun. Below are the banners for Phase 1.

For the Epitome Invocation weapon banner, the new 5-star sword, Light of Foliar Incision, will be featured along with the 5-star polearm Primordial Jade Winged-Spear. the 4-star weapons that will have their drop rates increased are Lithic Spear (Polearm), The Flute (Sword), Rainslasher (Claymore), The Widsith (Catalyst), and Sacrificial Bow (Bow).
